Round-up

Rakesh is relieved when Lisa tells him she will not be taking further proceedings against the factory and persuades Jai to offer her a small payout by way of compensation. At her hen party, Priya is feeling tense but relaxes when her cousin assures her that it is normal not to fall in love straight away. On the morning of the wedding, however, as the guests gather at Home Farm, her doubts return. She tries to convince herself she should go ahead and marry Rakesh – but will she?
Jimmy seems to be having second thoughts over the baby when Juliette shows him a picture of the scan - then Nicola finds the forms that Jimmy was supposed to sign. Jai tries to comfort Megan as she plans Robbie’s wake but she is distraught, believing that both her son and her brother are dead. As Charity starts to clear out Declan’s belongings, she and Megan seem momentarily and oddly united in their grief. Harriet tells Bob that she is over Ashley. Jai is relieved to hear that nothing happened between Leyla and Pete, but when she moves in for a kiss how will he react?
Moira is still unconvinced that Adam is just trying to protect her by refusing to allow her to visit him in prison, but then Aaron tells her that he was unable to see Adam because he has been in a scrap with another inmate.

Monday

Rakesh is relieved when Lisa tells him they're not going to court, but he suggests they give Jai one more push. Jai eventually agrees to a small payout.

Later at the Mehndi hen party, Priya is tense but feels relieved when her cousin tells her that it's normal not to fall in love straight away. As the evening continues, Rakesh tells Priya that he loves her but she clams up. Feeling insecure, will Priya's old demons return to haunt her?

Meanwhile, Jimmy covers to Nicola as he goes to meet Juliette. He shows Juliette into his office, but finds himself bonding with his unborn baby when she shows him the scan photo. Rodney walks in on them as Jimmy comforts Juliette, but how will Nicola react knowing Jimmy lied to her?

Elsewhere, Lisa vows to get healthy, nervous at what lies ahead.

Also today, Doug is nervous as he gets ready for the camera but his vlog is a hit with the crew.


Tuesday

Hour-long episode

Priya locks herself in the bathroom
Priya has lost her appetite over being stressed about the wedding. Leyla is disturbed to find that Priya is in the bathroom and hearing the shower running, she twigs what is wrong - especially when she locates the toast that Priya has hidden in the wardrobe. Leyla tells Rakesh and Priya is left humiliated when he then tries to talk to her through the locked door. She allows him in, but an ashamed Priya gives into her tears and admits that she is worried she can't promise she'll ever love him back.

Over at Home Farm, the wedding guests are waiting around and Leyla, Rishi and Georgia hurry in, trying to act normal. Priya is confused as Rakesh suggests they call off the wedding, but she tries to convince herself they should go ahead and get married. They finally arrive at Home Farm, but will this be the wedding of Priya's dreams?

Meanwhile, Charity is told the police have scaled back their search, as there is no sign of Declan. Megan is distraught they have stopped looking, as she is convinced Declan is not dead and is coming for her. Sam is worried sick about where Charity is as he tells Zak she is nowhere to be seen. At the same time, Charity is alone in the woods, facing up to her fears as she realises there is no-one there.

Elsewhere, Megan battles with her grief as she watches a digger excavate Robbie's grave.

Also today, Nicola is taken aback when Juliette appears at the house, wanting to collect the papers. Nicola is put out that Jimmy has not signed them yet and is choked as she realises he's having second thoughts over the baby. Jimmy signs the papers but suddenly Juliette goes into labour in their house. How will Nicola deal with it?

Finally, Zak encourages Lisa's health kick but she feels frustrated.


Wednesday

Nicola is relieved that Jimmy doesn't want to see Juliette and Carl again. Soon afterwards in the café, Juliette arrives to thank Nicola for her help yesterday. Nicola lies that Jimmy has posted the signed papers and won't have anything more to do with Carl.

Later, Nicola takes matters into her own hands when she posts Jimmy's papers herself, but when a chance meeting between Juliette and Jimmy allows him one last cuddle with Carl, it seems he may want to be involved after all…

Meanwhile, Priya is nervous after spending the night with Rakesh. He's excited and asks her to stay longer but she is torn. Could this relationship still have a chance?

Elsewhere, Jai struggles to comfort a distraught Megan as she plans Robbie's wake. Over at Home Farm, Charity begins to clear out all of Declan's belongings and is overwhelmed by her emotions. Megan arrives and whilst initially aggrieved by Charity's actions, the pair find themselves oddly united in their grief. Megan crumbles to think she has lost her whole family, with both seemingly convinced that Declan must be dead. Upset, they raise their glasses and toast to his memory.

Also today, Harriet tells Bob that she is over her feelings for Ashley, but she is disappointed when Ashley reveals that Gabby will be spending the first night with them in their new home.

Finally, Leyla listens sympathetically to Jai, who is relieved to hear that nothing happened between her and Pete. The pair talk and she leans in for a kiss, but how will Jai respond?


Thursday

It's the day of Robbie's funeral and Megan struggles to accept that both her son and her brother Declan are gone from her life. Leyla soon arrives at Holdgate, holding a wreath from a delivery florist which Megan assumes to be from Jimmy. Over at Home Farm, Charity insists to Jimmy and Sam that she will be fine on her own. Keen to keep busy, Charity sets about making business calls, totally oblivious to what is happening.

As Robbie's funeral gets under way, Megan tries not to break down and asks the congregation to pray for Robbie and Declan too. Later, the mourners from the funeral head back to Holdgate, but Megan stays outside.

Meanwhile, Nicola tells Rodney that she fears Jimmy may want more kids, but later Jimmy is horrified when she suggests they have another baby, showing him the research she has done into vasectomy reversals. Jimmy explains it is not what he wants, much to Nicola's relief - but are Jimmy's thoughts still with baby Carl?

Elsewhere, Doug is taken aback to receive fan mail, including a bra and he seems keen for Diane to know about his admirers.

Also today, Moira tries to hide her hurt Aaron has received a visiting order to see Adam.


Friday

James tries to convince Moira that Adam is only protecting her from seeing him in prison, but she is unconvinced. Later, Aaron tells Moira that he wasn't allowed to see Adam because he'd been involved in an altercation with another prisoner.

Meanwhile, one resident faces their demons in the continuing aftermath of the cottage week.

Elsewhere, Dan tells Ali and Ruby about the wake. Ruby realises that Dan and Ali have kept a massive secret from her for months.

Also today, when Jimmy appears troubled by thoughts of baby Carl, Rodney suggests he needs to speak to Nicola.

Jimmy King will struggle with his emotions on Emmerdale next week after Juliette gives birth to his baby.

Jimmy (Nick Miles) initially finds himself lying to Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) as he goes to meet Juliette, where becomes overwhelmed with emotion when she shows him a scan photo.

Later, Nicola is left stunned when Juliette appears at the house, wanting to collect the papers that Jimmy has signed to give up all responsibility over the baby. However, everything is put on hold when Juliette suddenly goes into labour in their house.

After Juliette gives birth to their baby son Carl, Nicola is relieved when Jimmy shows little interest in seeing either of them again. However, when Juliette arrives to thank Nicola for her help yesterday, Nicola lies that Jimmy has posted the signed papers and won't have anything more to do with Carl.

Taking matters into her own hands, Nicola posts Jimmy's papers herself but after Jimmy shares a touching moment with Carl, it becomes clear that he isn't ready to let him go so easily.

Seeing the effect that Carl has had on Jimmy, Nicola suggests to Jimmy that they have another baby, but the suggestion leaves him horrified.

Jimmy later explains to a relieved Nicola that he doesn't want more children, but is he already regretting his decision not to be involved in baby Carl's life?

Emmerdale businessman Jai Sharma seeks comfort in former lover Leyla Harding next week, as he feels the strain of recent events.

Viewers recently saw Jai (Chris Bisson) end his affair with Leyla (Rokhsaneh Ghawam-Shahidi) after he blamed her for Noah discovering the truth about the poisoning.

With Jai struggling to support his partner Megan (Gaynor Faye) as she plans her son Robbie's wake, Jai finds himself turning to Leyla.

Leyla listens sympathetically to Jai as he discusses his recent problems, and he is relieved when she is finally honest about her night with Pete, admitting that nothing happened.

As the pair continue to talk, Leyla decides to seize the moment and leans in for a kiss, but how will Jai respond?

Emmerdale's Megan Macey breaks down in tonight's episode (October 9) as she is forced to bid a final farewell to her son Robbie Lawson.

As Robbie's funeral takes place at the village church, Megan (Gaynor Faye) is full of hurt and regret as she wishes that she had got to know him sooner.

When Megan addresses the few villagers who have turned up for the service, she speaks movingly about the time she did spend with Robbie and how lonely she will be without him.

Megan also urges everyone to pray for her brother Declan, now convinced that he is dead following his lake showdown with Charity. However, with Declan very much alive and plotting revenge against Charity, is it only a matter of time before he makes his next move?
