Stacey is livid when she discovers that Kat has put her new life at risk, so she turns up at the Moon family home unexpectedly to confront her. A nervous Stacey desperately hopes that nobody else on the Square will spot her as she makes the brief visit.

Meanwhile, it's not just Stacey who is angry at Kat's plan, as Alfie (Shane Richie) is furious that she has put their family in danger by having a criminal in their home…

    Monday

Feeling down after her plan failed last week, Kat decides to write Stacey a letter. At the same time, Alfie remains suspicious about what Kat is up to and is determined to get to the bottom of it. When Max discovers that Kat is still trying to find Stacey, he proves to be another obstacle by advising her to leave it.

Later, Alfie confronts Kat with his suspicions but is shocked when she admits the truth. However, the couple are interrupted when Stacey arrives unexpectedly…

Meanwhile, the Beales are pleased when Jane pays another visit, but Denise isn't happy when she learns that it was Ian's idea for her to stay. Jane is surprised when she learns of the plans to close the market, and Denise eventually fills her in on Ian's plan. When Jane picks up on the tension between the couple, Denise is forced to come clean to Jane about kissing someone else. Jane has some advice, but will Denise listen to it?

Elsewhere, Shabnam tries to convince Masood to smarten himself up, but she bursts into tears when he mentions that his new suit is impressing the ladies.

Also today, Mick calls in Aunt Babe to help hold the fort at The Vic as he is taking Linda out, Linda is devastated when she finds out that Lady Di is pregnant after her tryst with Tramp, while the traders and stallholders find out about a secret council market meeting and band together to attend it.

    Tuesday

Kat's joy at seeing Stacey is short-lived when Stacey berates her for what she has done. The stress of the situation soon becomes too much for Stacey and she flees. She sneaks around the Square to avoid being seen, but Kat gives chase. Mick spots that Stacey is in a state and invites her into The Vic, but a familiar face sees her.

Stacey is forced to rush off once more, but Kat's words have made an impact on her. She realises that she can't continue living a lie and decides to leave her new life behind…

Meanwhile, Jane disagrees with Ian's teaching methods when she notices that he is placing a lot of pressure on Bobby. The former couple row and Jane is even more furious when Ian asks her to buy into Scarlett's.

Elsewhere, Masood realises that Shabnam hasn't ever got over the fact that he and Zainab have split up. Masood is forced to explain that he won't ever reconcile with Zainab. He then tries to help Shabnam plan for a job interview and it's clear that they're both starting a new chapter in their lives.

Also today, Linda takes inspiration from her night out and decides that a protest is the only way to save the market.

    Thursday

    Hour-long episode

Kat is still unwilling to give up on Stacey. She joins forces with Alfie and they head to Luke's place, but after what happened last time, Alfie is forced to lie to win Luke's trust.

Kat and Alfie are soon given reason to worry when Luke tells them what has happened. Kat comes up with a plan to get Stacey back, but will it work? Can Stacey come home?

Meanwhile, Denise tries to reassure Ian that Jane is bluffing, but this does nothing to ease his fears. Ian also remains unsupportive about the market closure, which frustrates Denise, Peter and Lucy. When Jane points out Ian's failure as a father, he is forced to re-examine his decisions. As Aleks tries to stop the protest, Ian's guilt becomes too much for him to bear. Will he step in and support his family?

Later, Masood notices that Jane is on her own and offers to keep her company in The Vic. Jane is unsure about whether she should leave Walford or not, but what will she do?

Elsewhere, Aunt Babe senses that tough times are ahead and pays a visit to the Carters. She soon puts forward a controversial idea that has Linda up in arms. As the family discuss Stan's money, Aunt Babe reveals to Shirley that Dean has been staying with Stan. Shirley is shocked and heads to Stan's, but he informs her that Dean is long gone. Is he telling the truth?

Also today, Shabnam attends her job interview, Tamwar decides enough is enough when Aleks tries to get him to do his dirty work, and Aunt Bushra pays a visit to the Square but her behaviour soon offends Masood.

The Walford stallholders will stage a protest in EastEnders next week as the future of the market remains uncertain.

The community has been rocked in recent weeks following the news that the local market could be closed down.

When the traders and stallholders find out about a secret council market meeting, they club together to attend it - much to the shock of market inspector Aleks.

After Linda (Kellie Bright) takes inspiration from a night out, she decides a protest is the only way to save the market and later rallies the troops.

Meanwhile, Denise, Peter and Lucy are all frustrated when Ian (Adam Woodyatt) remains unsupportive about the closure of the market and his reluctance to help.

EastEnders airs more drama for the Moons in tonight's episode (February 17) as Alfie accuses Kat of cheating on him again.

Alfie (Shane Richie) becomes convinced that Kat is having another affair as he jumps to the wrong conclusion over her recent secretive behaviour.

Kat (Jessie Wallace) has spent the past week trying to track down her cousin Stacey Branning after catching a brief glimpse of her on a London street. However, she has aroused Alfie's suspicions by lying about her whereabouts and seeming distracted.

When Alfie finally confronts his partner over her secrecy, he demands to know who she's been sleeping with. Shocked by Alfie's lack of faith in her, how will Kat react?

EastEnders' Lauren Branning gets a huge surprise in tonight's episode (February 18) as she comes face-to-face with Stacey for the first time in three years.

Last night, viewers saw Stacey (Lacey Turner) turn up on the Moons' doorstep after learning that Kat has been looking for her.

In this evening's visit to Walford, Stacey confronts Kat and tells her to stay away, before fleeing again when the stress of the situation becomes too much to deal with.

To avoid being seen, Stacey takes shelter in the Queen Vic when Mick Carter takes pity on her - but she is soon caught by a shellshocked Lauren (Jacqueline Jossa). What will happen when they see each other again?

Regular fans will know that Lauren shares a turbulent history with Stacey as she was responsible for exposing Stacey's affair with Max on Christmas Day in 2007.

Lauren was also responsible for the truth coming out over Archie Mitchell's murder as she taped Stacey confessing to the crime and later handed the recording to Janine when she thought that Stacey and Max were getting close again.
