Mick finds himself stuck between his wife and sister once again, but whose side will he pick?

David finds himself the focus of someone’s attentions, but will he be tempted?
The Carters are thrown when a member of the family turns up out of the blue.

Masood continues on a downward spiral, but will he find a way out?

astEnders bosses have released the first pictures of new characters Stan Carter and Babe Smith making their debuts on the show.

As previously announced, Timothy West has been cast in the role of Stan, who is the father of Mick, Shirley and Tina.

Upcoming episodes of EastEnders see the Carters realise that they need financial help, so they turn to Stan for support as they have no other options.

When Mick, Shirley and Tina visit Stan, it's clear that each of them has a very different relationship with their father. The strongest reaction is from Shirley, who has a long-standing feud with her dad and isn't happy about having to approach him for help.

Meanwhile, show bosses also last month announced the casting of Annette Badland as Babe, who is the Carters' maternal aunt.

Billed as "no-nonsense and big-hearted", Babe turns up on Albert Square unexpectedly a few days after Mick, Shirley and Tina have made their visit to Stan.

Meanwhile, there are comedy scenes ahead for EastEnders' Carter clan as they remain concerned about their finances.

Fans know that Mick, Shirley and Tina will soon be paying a visit to their father Stan to ask him for money, but Linda (Kellie Bright) isn't sure that Stan is their best option and continues to consider other avenues.

When Johnny informs his mum of how much cash they could make by breeding their pet dog Lady Di, this prompts Linda to take matters into her own hands.

Nancy is mortified as Linda puts panties on Lady Di to make sure that she can't be impregnated by an unsuitable partner.

Later, Nancy takes Lady Di out for a walk with the protective clothing on, but feels embarrassed at the park when she bumps into her new love interest Dexter Hartman and the Brannings' dog Tramp…

Monday

Shirley, Mick and Tina arrive at their father Stan's flat, but Shirley suddenly realises that she can't go through with it, leaving Mick and Tina to go inside without her. When they see Stan, it's clear that Mick and Tina both have very different relationships with him. Stan agrees to offer up the money they're asking for, but when he sees Shirley waiting outside, he refuses to part with the cash unless she is the one who asks for it.

Shirley goes inside when she realises what she has to do, but Stan starts to manipulatively talk about family when he realises that she is only there for the cash. Shirley ends up leaving with the money, but Stan's words have hit a nerve…

Meanwhile, as Linda continues to worry about the Carter family's financial troubles, her spirits lift when Johnny informs her how much money they could make from breeding Lady Di.

Elsewhere, Carol and Max are on their way to see Jim. Carol wants to tell Jim about her illness, but Max begs her not to. What will Carol decide?


Tuesday

Mick realises that seeing Stan again has had a big impact on Shirley. As Stan's words continue to play on her mind, Shirley tells the Carters that she wants her name above the door of the pub - otherwise she wants the money she got from Stan back.

Meanwhile, Linda puts panties on Lady Di to make sure that she can't be impregnated. Nancy is mortified by this and ends up removing the clothing when she bumps into Dexter and Tramp. Soon afterwards, Nancy and Dexter flirt but they're interrupted when they spot Lady Di and Tramp getting frisky in the park.

Elsewhere, David wants Carol to take it easy, but she doesn't take kindly to his interference. David promises to be there for Carol no matter what and soon surprises her with a special gift.

Also today, Fatboy is suspicious over Masood's latest strange behaviour, and when he checks Tamwar's university fund, he is gutted to find that the money has gone. When Tamwar catches Fatboy snooping, he accuses Fatboy of stealing the cash. As Masood realises what has happened, will he come clean to Tamwar?

Finally, when Nick calls for Dot, Poppy has to ask Sharon why Dot and Nick aren't close.


Thursday

Fatboy rebukes Poppy for meddling in Nick and Dot's relationship. Soon afterwards, Fatboy confides in Denise at the Minute Mart by admitting that he and Poppy are having problems. They start to discuss their recent kiss, but then Poppy walks in.

Back home, Fatboy is forced to confess that Denise was the woman he kissed. Poppy gets angry and confronts Denise, but it doesn't go as planned. Later, Poppy wants to talk to Fatboy about fixing things, but is soon heartbroken to hear that their relationship is over for good. Poppy decides to leave Walford, but she gets her revenge before she goes…

Meanwhile, Mick finds himself torn between his wife and sister once again following Shirley's demand. Linda urges Mick to realise that she and the kids have to come first, but who will Mick choose?

Elsewhere, Tina makes a mysterious phone call.

Also today, Carol helps Masood to clean up when he cuts his hand, but he misinterprets her intentions by going to kiss her. In the end, Masood confides in Carol about what's been going on - and David gets jealous when he spots Masood leaving the house.

Finally, Nancy tries to sneak home, but when Linda catches her covered in mud, she comes clean about Lady Di and Tramp.


Friday

Carol has had another hospital appointment and she confides in Sonia and Bianca separately about some upcoming tests. Later, during the karaoke party at the Queen Vic, Nikki flirts with David and makes a move on him, but will he reciprocate her advances? Carol, Bianca and Whitney suddenly appear which forces them to hide, but will they be caught?

Meanwhile, the Carter family are surprised when Aunt Babe turns up on Albert Square, apart from Tina who called her. Aunt Babe can see that Shirley has been affected by seeing Stan again, so she gives her some advice. Soon afterwards, Mick and Tina start to reminisce about their mother and Shirley joins in.

Elsewhere, Tamwar asks Masood to step in as market sweeper and is proud of his father when he accepts. Later, Masood gets drunk at The Vic and goes to hit David, forcing Mick to step in and throw him out.

EastEnders' Fatboy Chubb is branded a thief next week as he gets involved in the Masood family's problems again.

Fatboy (Ricky Norwood) is wrongly accused when he makes the mistake of checking Tamwar's university fund, convinced that Masood is up to no good again.

When Tamwar (Himesh Patel) catches Fatboy snooping and sees that the money is gone, he gets the wrong idea and rebukes his friend for stealing the cash.

As Masood realises that Fatboy is getting the blame for his mistake, will he come clean to Tamwar or let Fatboy take the fall?

annette badland is a great actress, loved her in cutting it. will be interesting to see what type of character aunt babe is and how she fits into the carter clan.
