Coronation Street barmaid Tina McIntyre tries to make a clean break from Peter Barlow by leaving Weatherfield early next month.

Tina (Michelle Keegan) tells Peter that she is departing the cobbles for a new life in London as she can't bear to be around him if they're not together as a proper couple.

When Peter begs Tina not to leave, she presents him with a huge ultimatum and promises to stay in Weatherfield if he tells his wife Carla the truth about them.

Liz McDonald is later shocked when Tina confides in her about the complicated situation, and she urges her employee to forget about Peter before any damage is done.

When Peter tells Tina that he won't leave Carla, she is crushed and realises Liz is right. Packing her bags, Tina makes an abrupt departure from Weatherfield.

While fans know Tina is leaving the show, her final scenes don't air until much later in the year - so what brings her back remains to be seen…
