Adam ? why would Cameron be talking to him not as though they are mates. Then would it not mention his mother in the following days wondering where he was ? don't see it being Adam.

Cameron's hostage lies in the van, bound and gagged while Cameron visits Chas. The terrified villager spots a rusty piece of metal and tries to break free from the ropes, but Cameron arrives back.

Convincing Cameron to untie the ropes, the villager spots a chance and makes a run for it. Cameron chases through the woods in hot pursuit and grapples them to the floor, dragging his semi-conscious victim back to the van. He then ominously gets inside and slams the door, steeling himself for what he has to do next...

Meanwhile, David is wrapping a bracelet for Priya and is startled when Alicia comes in. He bungs it into the freezer, only for a suspicious Alicia to seek it out later and presume it's for her. In the pub, Priya gives David his Christmas present - a week-long skiing holiday beginning on Boxing Day.

Elsewhere, Amy feels torn over who to spend Christmas with, Pollard is being furtive around Val and makes a secret phone call arranging to meet someone, Katie snaps at Declan and Megan senses that things between them aren't fully resolved, Paddy gives Edna a gentle reminder about Tootsie's insurance payments, while Debbie is left reeling when she discovers that Chas and Cameron are over.

    Tuesday 25th Christmas Day

A startled Cameron wakes up in the B&B and remembers that he is living a nightmare as his victim's body lies in the van on Main Street. What will he do next?

Meanwhile, Alicia's dreams are shattered when she gives David an expensive watch and only gets a pen and pencil set in return. She wonders what happened to the bracelet. Later, they go to the pub and Alicia spots that Priya is wearing the bracelet from David. How will Alicia react to the truth about David and Priya?

Elsewhere, Kerry gives Amy a dress and shoes which are really not her style, but Amy can't show her true feelings and is anxious to please her mum. Later, Kerry's Christmas plans fall apart as she has tried to cook the turkey with the giblets in. Has the big day been ruined?

Also today, Val is delighted when Pollard hands her a puppy named Cheryl as a present, Katie is uneasy when Declan gives her a saddle as a gift, Charity isn't convinced by Debbie's Christmas cheer, Jai struggles to be away from his son on such a special day, while Marlon and Laurel resolve to spread love round the village with mince pies.
Cameron heads to the woods, where he begins digging a hole. Appalled at himself, he then throws the body in and is relieved when the corpse is finally covered. Back at the B&B, Cameron tries to scrub away his guilt in the shower, before heading to see Chas. When Chas admits that Cameron is all she wants, will the pair be reunited?

Meanwhile, Alicia can't bear seeing David looking at Priya any longer and asks how long it's been going on. David is relieved when a heartbroken Alicia says that she's sorry he didn't feel he could tell her before and he should be with Priya. But what does this mean for the future of their sham relationship? And how can they ever tell Jacob?

Elsewhere, Kerry and Andy share a kiss but are interrupted by Amy and Pollard bursting in with supplies to rescue Christmas dinner. Kerry promises Amy that it will be different with Andy this time. Can Pollard help to save Christmas for all concerned?

Also, Edna walks home from church with Ashley and is horrified to find that her home has been burgled, Jai is over the moon when Rachel lets him see Archie at the hospital, Laurel gets drunk as the festive cheer continues, while Charity worries that Debbie is still harbouring feelings for Cameron.

    Wednesday Boxing Day/St Stephen's Day

Debbie is upbeat as she heads out on a shopping trip with Charity. However, as they drive through the village, Debbie freaks out when she clocks Cameron and decides to drive at him. The car narrowly misses Cameron, and as a huge argument erupts, Debbie blurts out that she still wants Cameron.

Back home at Tug Ghyll, Debbie is disgusted with herself and trashes the place in frustration. Cameron then goes round and gives Debbie a cold warning never to stand in his way again…

Meanwhile, the police don't think they'll have much luck finding Edna's burglar. Jude calls round to see her and asks if she needs to talk. Edna covers that she's fine, but Jude can see that something else is bothering her. Edna is relieved when Jude finally goes and it's clear she is feeling increasingly isolated.

Elsewhere, Alicia feels even worse when Priya drops the bombshell that she is off on holiday with David that night. Later, Alicia tells Jacob that she and David have split up and he has gone on a lads' holiday to give them space. Jacob is upset and doesn't believe it, making the situation all the worse for a heartbroken Alicia.

Also today, Debbie is unimpressed when Andy reveals that he is back with Kerry, while Katie is grateful for Declan's support when he vows to support her.

    Thursday

Cain is dismayed when he discovers that Debbie nearly ran Cameron over and admitted that she still wants to be with him. At the same time, Cameron claims that his van has been stolen and panics when he is forced to relay his lie to the police that Cain and Debbie might be behind it.

Later, the police visit Tug Ghyll to question Debbie and Cain. Debbie is furious and shows them receipts of car parts she was buying to prove she had nothing to do with it. As his deception continues, Cameron goes out and sets his van on fire in the countryside…

Meanwhile, Megan continues her sisterly act with Nicola by giving her a promotion. At the same time, Declan insists on going to the pub with Katie as she is meeting Gennie. Katie later doubles over in pain and Declan insists they get her to the hospital.

Elsewhere, Bernice is sure that she would make a good landlady at the pub and confides in Nicola about wanting to take over. She is upset when little Diane won't speak to her on the phone and Steve comforts her as he tries to discuss making long-term plans in the village. Bernice asks Nicola about renting a place and Laurel is incredulous when she suggests Mulberry.

Also, Moira vows to cut ties with Cain when she sees him being aggressive, while Alicia feels terrible at how upset Jacob is over David.

Declan panics about Katie as he watches the medical team treat her. He is concerned further when the doctor explains that Katie has got some sort of infection and needs a scan. Soon afterwards, it emerges that Katie has an abscess on her ovary and she needs surgery today.

Later, Declan struggles to take everything in when the doctor tells him that Katie is out of theatre, but there have been complications and her chances of having children are small. Declan says that he wants to be the one to break the news to her.

Meanwhile, Ashley is thrown but covers his hurt when he discovers that Bernice and Steve are moving into his old house, and Steve apologises for Bernice's tactless manner. Rodney asks Bernice if she's sure moving into Mulberry is a good idea, but she insists it's what she wants. Later, Bernice tries to be as helpful as possible at the pub, continuing her plan to take over.

Elsewhere, Zak introduces himself to Dom as he drops a parcel off for Bernice, explaining that Belle is friends with his daughter. Later in the café, Moira and Dom get off to a bad start but she thaws towards him and the pair flirt.

Also, Zak advises Cain to sort things with Moira.

    Friday

Katie tells Gennie that she has been given the all clear, as Declan wonders how he's going to burst her bubble. Over at Home Farm, Robbie thinks the news about Katie gives him and Megan the opportunity they need, but Megan wonders where her loyalties lie.

Later, Katie is numb and close to tears as Declan finally tells her the truth. Declan adds that it doesn't matter if they don't have children, as he loves her no matter what. In private, however, Declan tells Jai that he doesn't know if it's enough just to be married to Katie, as he's always wanted a son to pass his empire onto...

Meanwhile, Cain is irked when Moira flirts with Dom in the pub, hearing her say that she's open to offers on New Year's Eve as she has no plans. Outside The Woolpack, Cain tells Moira that trying to make him jealous won't work. Moira tells Cain that he means nothing to her, but is she just kidding herself?

Elsewhere, Bernice puts her plan into action by offering to buy Chas out, Belle is apprehensive when Gemma tells her that they're gate crashing a party and their parents will never know, while Dan is feeling down about New Year.

    Monday 31st

As Moira prepares for her date, Adam is pleased that she is meeting Dom rather than Cain. However, in the café when Dom is distracted, Cain picks up his love rival's motorbike keys and leaves. On hearing his bike engine start up, Dom rushes to the door and can only stare in horror as Cain rides off at speed. Soon afterwards, Moira sees 'Dom' arrive on his bike and promptly gets on the back, believing it is her date under the visor. Just as they set off, Cain reveals his identity but zooms off before Moira can do anything.

The pair come to a stop in a lay-by not far out of the village and Moira is furious until Cain explains that it was his way of trying to get her alone. Cain finally admits to missing her and they kiss passionately before finding a barn to have sex. Afterwards, Cain decides they should front it out in public - he is taking her on a date to the New Year's Eve party at The Woolpack. Later, Moira and Cain enter the pub as a couple and the packed pub can't help but stare when they kiss passionately at midnight.

Meanwhile, Belle and Gemma sneak risqué outfits and make-up into their bags ready for the party. Once at the party and all glammed up, Belle seems out of her depth when Gemma goes off with a boy called Kieron. Belle then watches in horror as Gemma and Kieron head upstairs for privacy. A worried Belle follows, and on opening a bedroom door, she sees Gemma pinned by Kieron. Belle shouts at him to get off her, and Gemma gets angry as Belle lets slip their real ages. Belle and Gemma sneak home early in their party finery, but are soon caught out by Zak and Lisa.

Elsewhere, Katie struggles to cope with the news that she can't have children, while Bob and Dan make a beeline for two women named Maxine and Cindy at the party but their evening doesn't go to plan when the women abuse their generosity.

    Tuesday

Declan is itching to get back to work and Katie encourages him. However, Megan fears that Declan has got his priorities wrong and struggles to convince him to spend time with Katie. Robbie wants to know what Megan is going to do about getting the money back from Declan, but she is unsure whether she should be playing those kind of games with her brother.

Later, Katie is left feeling insecure and worried when Sam confirms that Declan is upset with everything that is going on. She is hurt further when Megan explains that Declan is just grieving for the family he can't have, and Katie worries how they will get through it if he can't even be honest with her. It's clear that Declan does want kids after all but couldn't admit this to Katie.

Meanwhile, Moira and Cain wake up together and she is amused when he wants breakfast. They're happy to shut out the world as Moira says she doesn't care what anyone else thinks. Alone with Moira, Adam explains that he won't be there to pick up the pieces when it goes wrong. Zak later questions Cain about his intentions, knowing Moira could get hurt. He tells Cain that he could have a future with her if he treats her right.

Elsewhere, Dom is annoyed when Zak and Lisa infer that Belle's bad behaviour is down to Gemma. At the same time, Gemma is annoyed that Belle likes Luke, a boy she met at the party last night. As Gemma used to be involved with Luke, she thinks Belle should respect her by staying away from him.

Also today, Jai is pleased to discover that Archie is being moved out of intensive care, while Edna secures a job at the factory.

    Wednesday

Charity knows something is up with Jai as he cancels a lunch date and is increasingly more distracted. Rishi fears that Jai is not doing a good job of hiding his worries. At the same time, over at the hospital, Rachel is terrified for Archie when the doctor tells her that the newborn has developed an infection but adds that they've caught it early.

Later, Jai is even more worried when he discovers that Archie has taken a turn for the worst and goes to leave Rachel a voicemail. Rishi follows him out, angrily telling Jai that he won't watch him throw his life away.

Meanwhile, Megan tries to encourage Declan to spend time with Katie. Soon afterwards, Katie apologises to Declan, saying they have plenty of time to work through things. That evening, however, Megan is concerned when Katie suggests leaving Declan, knowing she'll never be enough for him.

Elsewhere, Edna distances herself from the other workers as she can't afford to have lunch with them at the pub, Robbie is unimpressed when Declan thanks him for his hard work and mentions a pay rise, Jimmy discovers that the police won't be reopening Tom's case, while Belle decides to go for it with Luke after Charity advises her to ignore the 'girl code'.

    Thursday

Cameron is floored when a relative of his victim arrives in the village looking for them. The family member vows not to rest until they discover what really happened...

Meanwhile, Jai feels the pressure when Charity sees that his phone is ringing and answers it. It's Rachel, who quickly covers by saying that she is calling about a dripping tap. Jai then overreacts, furious that Charity answered his phone.

Later in the café, Jai is riled to hear Sam talking about Archie as if he were his. Jai visits the hospital and vents his frustrations about Sam to Rachel, who sticks up for herself by explaining that Jai made his choice and now has to live with it. Rachel is then caught when she slips up, telling Jai that she's sick of both him and Rishi telling her what to do. Jai is wound up, wanting to know what his dad has been saying...

Elsewhere, Katie gives Steve a job looking after the stables, Edna feels awkward as everyone at the factory thinks she is not working fast enough, while Bob vows to host a Bronte literature night at the pub as he believes it will attract single women.

Jai demands to know more about Rishi's visit, but Rachel slams the door in his face and tells him to stay away. He then struggles to contain his anger at the factory as everything winds him up. Soon afterwards, Jai lays into his dad about going to see Rachel, and Charity walks in to find him with Rishi pinned against the wall.

Charity is angry as Jai makes up an excuse for why he's fuming at Rishi, but Charity is determined to get to the bottom of his moods. She thinks it's still about him wanting kids, but he can't explain himself and Charity leaves. Later, Jai arrives home wanting to talk to Charity, but she has packed a bag and is going to stay with Zak and Lisa. He begs to make it up to her, but she says it's too late.

Meanwhile, Cameron is unsettled by the relative's presence, as they seem determined to ask more questions to find out what happened. Cameron prepares to put the boot in as he tells the relative stories to discredit the victim's name, hoping they will not come back to ask any more questions.

Elsewhere, Edna decides to leave the factory as she knows she isn't quick enough for the work.

    Friday

Charity begins asking questions, determined to find out what Jai is holding back. She quizzes Gennie about whether she thinks Jai has been acting strangely. When Rishi is asked, he assures Charity that it's the baby issue, but Charity determinedly follows up her enquiries by asking Dan and Ali.

Soon afterwards, Rachel is unnerved when Charity rounds on her, wanting a word. As Charity leads Rachel away to talk privately, Rachel worries about what Charity knows. Charity interrogates Rachel and even offers her money for information, explaining that cleaners see everything. However, Rachel insists that she knows nothing and stomps off down the street.

Later, Jai tentatively calls in to see Charity at the haulage firm. Jai is tempted to come clean when she says that she wants the truth or she is out. Jai insists that he's not seeing anyone else, but refuses to give her any more details. Standing firm, Charity insists that they will live separate lives until he can give her the truth.

Elsewhere, Dan tells Edna that she has a case for age discrimination and they've had a whip round, but she is humiliated.

Meanwhile, these are the full set of pictures showing the gruesome Christmas Day ahead for Emmerdale's Cameron Murray as he buries the body of his latest murder victim.

Cameron (Dominic Power) kills again in a few days' time, realising that he has made a terrible mistake by confiding in one of the villagers about how he murdered Carl King.

After ending the life of his confidante, Cameron keeps the body in his van on Main Street while he ponders his next move.

On Christmas Day, a startled Cameron wakes up in the B&B and realises that he's living a nightmare as he still needs to deal with the corpse.

Sneaking into the woods, Cameron begins digging a hole for the body and he has tears in his eyes as he digs into the earth.

Appalled at himself, Cameron then throws his victim in the hole and sets to work on covering the body…

Emmerdale killer Cameron Murray finds himself in a sticky situation tonight (December 27) as he continues his attempts to cover up his murder of Alex Moss.

Knowing that his van could potentially link him to the crime, Cameron (Dominic Power) drives the vehicle away from the village and later lies to Chas by claiming that it has been stolen.

Chas (Lucy Pargeter) is shocked by the 'news' and immediately declares that Cain or Debbie must be responsible due to their ongoing feud.

Although Cameron urges Chas to let this one go, she leaves him panicked by calling in the police to investigate. What will Cameron tell the officers?

Emmerdale star Emma Atkins has revealed that she is enjoying showing a more vulnerable side to her character Charity Sharma in her current storyline.

Charity's marriage to businessman Jai (Chris Bisson) has reached breaking point this week as she is struggling to cope with his strange and secretive behaviour.

Viewers know that Jai is the father of Rachel Breckle's baby son Archie, but he has so far managed to shield Charity from the truth.

Atkins told itv.com: "For Charity, for the first time in her life, she is quite bewildered by her partner's behaviour. She does not have a clue why he is behaving the way he is. That's brilliant for the audience, because they all know what's going on.

"Of course he is father to Rachel's baby, and Charity is none the wiser. For someone who's supposed to be so clued up, she doesn't have a clue! She's rubbish - which is good to play, actually, because it shows a more vulnerable side to Charity. She cannot discover what is going on and she's even doing a little detective work."

The actress continued: "She doesn't know where she stands with Jai anymore. Jai is being so secretive and aloof, and it's horrible in any relationship to be experiencing that sense of detachment from someone that you really care about."

Tonight's (January 4) Emmerdale episode sees Charity quiz a number of the villagers as she desperately seeks answers over Jai's antics.

Atkins added: "By hook or by crook, she will find out what is the secret. She's got to find out! We'll see."
