Home and Away star Georgie Parker has tipped her character Roo Stewart to get a happy ending with partner Harvey Ryan, despite a variety of dramas in the build-up to their upcoming wedding.

Viewers in Australia will soon see Roo tie the knot with Harvey (Marcus Graham), following days of uncertainty as to whether the ceremony will actually go ahead.

Roo gets cold feet in the lead-up to the big day, fearing that Harvey isn't taking their nuptials seriously enough.

When she later spots Harvey losing his temper in a trivial row with best man Winston (John Batchelor), Roo decides to call off the wedding as she worries that her fiancé could have a nasty side. However, Winston later saves the day by encouraging her to see sense.

Parker told TV Week: "Roo starts to get cold feet at this point. She accuses Harvey of not being the man she thought he was, and that's when she says she can't go through with the wedding.

"Winston tells her that Harvey is a good man and that he's always been there for him and has stood up for him, so she shouldn't let him slip through her fingers.

"Roo hadn't identified that the heightened emotions she was feeling were just a case of wedding jitters, and she realises how hard it's been for both of them to commit to each other - and that Harvey is the most important thing in her life."

The wedding eventually goes ahead as planned, with Roo's aunts Celia (Fiona Spence), Morag (Cornelia Frances) and Colleen (Lyn Collingwood) all back for the occasion.

Parker continued: "It's really important to have those older characters associated with the show there - they're like touchstones for the show. Plus, it was great to have Lyn back and have Colleen's humorous take on everything. It was a very nice collection of women!"

The actress also hinted that Roo and Harvey will focus on plans to become foster parents in 2013.

She said: "They want to have a stable life together so they can foster children. It's essential they go back to the original heart of the show and bring in teenagers who don't have anywhere else to go, who are provided with a safe house and with rules and love.

"I'm sure Roo and Harvey will also have a bit of up and down in their relationship, but we're aiming for them to be happy together."

Home and Away airs Roo and Harvey's wedding next week on Network Seven in Australia, and in February on Channel 5 in the UK.

Home and Away stars Steve Peacocke and Dan Ewing have revealed that sinister character Jamie Sharpe has a major role to play in the soap's 2012 season finale.

Jamie (Hugo Johnstone-Burt) has caused a stir on Australian screens in recent weeks, stalking Leah Patterson-Baker until she fled from Summer Bay in terror.

Advance spoilers for Home and Away's finale have confirmed that one character will be left for dead out at sea after being attacked, and it has now been confirmed that creepy Jamie is responsible for the shocking incident.

Jamie targets one of the local residents under orders from his villainous father Adam (Martin Lynes), who wants revenge against someone in the Bay.

However, show bosses are keeping tight-lipped over whether an innocent person could become Jamie's victim when the Sharpes' plans go awry.

Peacocke, who plays show regular Brax, told TV Week: "It's a really cool cliffhanger. It was one of the few weeks that I went to the producers and asked for the next week's scripts because I wanted to know what happened."

Dan Ewing, better known as Heath, added: "Revenge is definitely on the cards and a guy like Adam has the means to do it. He's not a guy you want to mess with."

Home and Away's season finale airs on Wednesday (November 28) on Network Seven in Australia and mid-February on Channel 5 in the UK.
