EMMERDALE is to be shaken up when a major character gets killed off. The star will be murdered in a week of high drama next month, celebrating the ITV soap’s 40th birthday. ]
Looks like we can expect loads of death threat red herrings over the next few weeks

The hour-long live episode promises to present viewers with every aspect of human life – births, weddings and an untimely death. A source said: “It’s a closely guarded secret. Very few people know who the victim is.”

It's this comment " viewers will be moved by the death" that's bugging me ,I don't know whether Cameron fits the bill, now bearing in mind I'm always wrong on these things , I wonder if Robbie gets involved with pushing drugs at the music festival, gets threatened , Declan steps in to protect him and pays with his life? Either way it'll drive me barmy till it's televised.

No, not Declan as its already been stated that he wants to repeat the festival next year?!

Maybe Cameron, and people are moved by Debbie's situation and reaction?

Emmerdale star Sammy Winward has revealed that she is worried she may burst out laughing while taking part in the soap's forthcoming live episode.

The actress's character Katie Sugden has a major role to play in the 40th anniversary special, which takes place on the day of her wedding to Home Farm boss Declan Macey (Jason Merrells).

Winward and other Emmerdale cast members have already admitted that they are nervous about the challenge ahead. Show bosses have lined up 11 days of rehearsal for the live broadcast, aware that anything could go wrong on the night.

Confessing her main concerns, Winward told The Mirror: "My biggest fear is corpsing - just starting to laugh and not being able to stop. It happens all the time when we're filming. We can be in fits of giggles for 15 minutes at a time which drives everyone mad - but I'm hoping I'll be so scared this time I won't dare.

"And, like all actors, I've got that fear of forgetting my lines. I keep having this dream where I'm on stage and I don't know what the play is we're doing. It's horrible. Oh, and I'm really clumsy too - I've already fallen over twice today, so who knows what I could do.

"So yes, the sleepless nights have started already. Put it this way, I'm going to be stocking up on Rescue Remedy and relying on my friends to help me through."

While one character will be killed off in the live episode, Winward hinted that she would like Katie to stick around for at least a few more years.

She said: "I started in the show when I was 15, so I've grown up here and the people I work with are my best friends. I only came in for eight episodes and I'm still here.

"When it was the 30th anniversary, it felt very much like I was one of the newcomers, now I'm lucky enough to be a big part of the 40th and who knows, I might be here for the 50th too."

Emmerdale celebrates its 40th anniversary next month.

Emmerdale's Steve Halliwell has reiterated that he is "happy to stay" playing Zak Dingle on Emmerdale.

The actor, who has previously said he would like to play Zak "forever", made his debut on the show in 1994 but said he still feels like a new addition to the soap.

Speaking to PA ahead of the upcoming 40th anniversary episode, he said: "I still feel like a bit of a newcomer but when it comes up to 40 years and I realise I've been in it 18 or 19, I've been there nearly half of that. It's unbelievable how time flies.

"It's odd when young actors and actresses come on and say, 'I've been watching you since I was that height', and I think, 'Have you?'"

It has been an eventful year for Zak, after he was sectioned due to suffering a mental breakdown.

Halliwell said of the more serious storylines for Zak: "You can only do what's written, and a lot of it over the years has been the comic side of things, and our current producer Stuart [Blackburn] is very keen on making it serious drama so he gave me the chance to show other things that I can do."

He added: "I've got to an age now where I don't want to be chasing work just to show people I can do something else, I did all that in the theatre and I love playing the character, so as long as they want me, I'll stay."

The 40th anniversary live episode of Emmerdale will air next month.

Sarah Dingle develops leukaemia soon, but that shouldnt kill her by October?!

and that doesnt answer the murder issue?

I would still go for Cameron or Carl - one or the other being murdered as a result of the 30k issue - but who would be moved by either? Debbie, but not if she knows about his afair - Jimmy?

hardly PEOPLE being moved is it...?
