Meanwhile, EastEnders fans will see Billy Mitchell's 'Olympic Nightmare' special air on the BBC Red Button service in a few days' time.

As announced last month, Billy (Perry Fenwick) will come face-to-face with a number of sporting legends and celebrities in the spinoff episode, which centres around his anxiety over being chosen as an Olympic torchbearer.

Billy is delighted to have the responsibility, but as the important day draws near, his sleep is plagued by visions of what could go wrong - including that his tracksuit bottoms could fall down while he is carrying the torch!

As worst case scenarios continue to disturb Billy's sleep, viewers will see him running late for the Olympic torch bearer press day. Out of breath, Billy turns up at The One Show - but is frustrated when Alex Jones and Matt Baker awkwardly tell him that they have already moved on to the next interview.

Billy then tries to catch up with the rest of the Olympic torchbearers, but when he arrives at Wembley, he finds that he has just missed them again. He then quickly gives Tessa Sanderson a kiss before rushing off!

However, when Billy finally arrives at his beloved Upton Park for the photo-call, Lola, William and Janet proudly cheer him on. Could his Olympic nightmare actually turn into a triumph?

EastEnders airs 'Billy's Olympic Nightmare' on the BBC Red Button and BBC iPlayer on Monday, July 16, straight after the soap's regular BBC One episode.

    Monday

Janine is lonely as she waits in the hospital for Michael to attend Scarlett's medical appointment today. Back on the Square, Michael is running late as the taxi hasn't arrived and he has also locked himself out of the house. Desperate for help, Michael turns to Alfie for support. Alfie agrees to help him despite their recent animosity, but warns that Michael must never hurt his family again.

At the hospital, Janine is emotional as she feels that Michael has abandoned her. Michael eventually shows up following a desperate race to get there, but Janine is sceptical over his excuses and explanations. Will she give Michael another chance, or push him away for good?

Meanwhile, Lola is eager to have some fun, so she leads Jay out on a mission to get some free food. Lola manages to score free drinks in the café by pretending to go into labour. However, over at McClunky's, Nico isn't so easily fooled and warns the pair to pay their way or leave. Later, a heated argument ensues as Nico returns to work to find that Fatboy has given Lola and Jay free food. Lola flies into a rage during the row, causing Nico to back into a shelf and damage his stock. With the argument over, Lola allows Jay to feel her baby kicking and they share a kiss. Soon afterwards, though, Lola must face the music over her latest misbehaviour when the police arrive to arrest her on suspicion of criminal damage.

Elsewhere, Shirley is stunned to discover that she is now a grandmother as Denise explains that Carly has had a baby. Shirley is crushed that Carly didn't tell her this, so Denise hands Carly's phone number over. However, when Shirley calls Carly, she is rejected by her and turns to alcohol to ease her pain.

Also today, Andrew cancels plans for a meal with Rose, preferring to stay out with the football team.

    Tuesday

Michael pays another visit to a tired and irritated Janine, asking her to sign some papers which will make him a signatory to the business accounts. However, this makes Janine suspicious as she still fears that he is trying to get his hands on her money. Janine then suggests that they should attend a post-natal class, which Michael reluctantly agrees to. Soon afterwards, though, Michael panics when he hears that the topic will be emergency resuscitation, and abandons Janine by rushing out of the class.

Later, Janine takes a trip back home and becomes further suspicious when she spots the keys to Michael's new car. When Janine finds Michael in the office with the safe door open, she fears the worst and an argument follows between the couple. Michael insists that he is just trying to help out by keeping everything running smoothly in Janine's absence. Janine appears to forgive her husband, but she later secretly informs Billy to change the combination to the safe and keep an eye on Michael…

Meanwhile, Cora and Rose accompany Patrick as he attends the funeral of an old friend. At the wake, Patrick confesses that his friend's widow may not be pleased to see him, so Cora comes to his rescue by pretending to be Patrick's wife and telling the woman in question that he is a changed man. Cora also tries to charm her into offloading her husband's possessions onto the charity shop. As the pretence continues, is there a chance that Cora and Patrick could genuinely become more than just friends?

Elsewhere, Lola has spent a night in the cells but is released with a warning. Back on the Square, Lola is hurt when Jay tells her that their recent kiss was a mistake as he still misses Abi and doesn't want to hurt her. Soon afterwards, Billy vows to keep Lola in the house and out of trouble until her baby has arrived.

Also today, Alfie makes Billy the captain of the football team due to all of the publicity he's receiving over the Olympics - but a battle brews as Jack isn't best pleased.

    Thursday

Kat has a new dilemma to consider when her mystery lover sends her the key to a flat. She tries to show Alfie that she wants attention, but he is so preoccupied by the football team that he doesn't notice.

Later, the couple can't agree on the best approach of how to talk to Michael. Kat then becomes particularly annoyed over Alfie's obsession with talking about football tactics. At the end of her tether, Kat heads to the flat and meets her lover there…

Meanwhile, Janine panics when another baby on the ward becomes ill and is rushed off for emergency attention. An emotional Janine immediately calls Michael, asking him to visit as she can't do this without him. However, Michael has just discovered that the combination to the safe has been changed, and he's hurt by Janine's obvious lack of trust in him. Later, Michael arrives at the hospital and watches unseen as Janine holds her baby. He then feels left out, fearing that they seem like a family unit without him.

Elsewhere, with Lola grounded following all the recent trouble, Shirley offers to watch her for Billy. Taking her role as guardian seriously, Shirley even removes the inner door handle from Lola's bedroom to lock her in. However, it's not long before a mishap leaves them both trapped inside. Shirley then begins to confide in Lola about the Carly situation and the pair end up bonding over motherhood, with Shirley giving Lola the confidence that she'll be a good mum.

Also today, Rose leaves Walford to visit Dot.
