The writers surely could have come with a better conclusion, catching the little toerag at it and administering a bit of corpoal punishment might have been more productive.

Well it might not be Ben. He didn't admit to be it as such and didn't object to it either. I think he knows who ( Jay) it is but covers it up. Or the they are in it together.

I think Ben said " It's been a long time coming " or words to that effect. I think if he wasn't involved the little slimeball would have denied it. The culprit is someone who puts Phil back onto drink and drugs so I suppose it must be his beloved son.
