Meanwhile, Dot gets used to having her sister living with her and it is not long before the pair are gossiping about the locals, with Rose using her knowledge to fool Jean.

Tanya is flustered as she prepares for her oncology appointment but things take a turn for the worse when she arrives home to discover that Cora has let Abi and Lauren have a drink.

Meanwhile, Janine decides to cause more problems for Phil by hiring Rainie to work at the club.

Eddie invites Carol for a drink with his sons, as Michael plots against his father.

EastEnders airs Mandy Salter's comeback scenes later this month as Nicola Stapleton reprises the role after 17 years away from Albert Square.

The build-up to the tearaway's return begins when Ian Beale receives an invite to join the Moons as they celebrate Anthony's birthday at a strip club. However, the visit doesn't go to plan and the men all end up abandoning the idea before they've even entered the building.

Later, Ian decides to make a return trip to the club alone and when he arrives, he spots a hard-looking man throwing a blonde woman out of the venue. To Ian's surprise, the woman calls out to him and he recognises her as Mandy.

Although Ian refuses to acknowledge Mandy, he's soon left stunned when she grabs him and kisses him. The bouncer then pulls her back and things turn nasty as Ian is punched.

Ian rushes back to his car to make his escape, but Mandy begs him to let her in too. Will Ian decide to save Mandy?

A Walford source commented: "Ian can't believe his eyes when he sees Mandy being thrown outside of the club but, wanting to avoid the unpleasant situation, he refuses to acknowledge her.

"Mandy doesn't let him get away with this and she grabs him and kisses him, infuriating the bouncer who realises Ian lied to him. What mess has Mandy got herself into?"

It's Anthony's 25th birthday and Alfie tries to cheer Ian up by inviting him to the Moons' party for the occasion, but the Walford businessman insists that he'd prefer to stay at home. At the same time, Michael continues his manipulative ways by trying to make Anthony think that Eddie has forgotten his birthday. Later, Ian changes his mind and joins the celebrations after all, while Tyler announces a birthday surprise for his brother - he's taking Anthony to a strip club. The men soon head off to the club together, but when Anthony is refused entry, they all abandon the plan and decide to leave. However, Ian later returns to the club alone and when he arrives, he spots a hard-looking man throwing a blonde girl out of the building. Ian recognises the woman as Mandy Salter, who calls out to him - revealing that she needs help…

Meanwhile, it's almost time for Shenice to make her departure from Albert Square, so the Moons start packing her things and organise a goodbye picnic for her. However, Shenice seems to be feeling down as she expresses how much she'll miss Kat and Alfie. Later, Shenice tells Alfie that she doesn't want to go back to Spain and wishes to stay in Walford. Alfie doesn't know what to say, but when the kids see him smiling, they believe that Shenice will be allowed to stay.

Elsewhere, relations are already strained between Dot and Rose as Dot isn't happy about what her sister is wearing, nor her lack of contribution to the household. Later, with Dot not wanting to join her, Rose heads off to The Vic alone and throws herself at Patrick in a bid to get a free drink. Dot eventually arrives to join her sister and starts filling her in on all the Walford gossip. Rose then uses her new-found knowledge to fool Jean that she is psychic!


Also today, Whitney tells a devastated Lauren what happened in Southend; Jodie remains upset that she cannot have her dream wedding; Dot supports Whitney and encourages her to seek counselling as advised by the police; Michael demands more effort from Vanessa after she asks him for more money; Lee warns Whitney not to involve him in the police enquiry into last week's events; while Vanessa makes contact with her ex-husband Harry.

Tues 3oth

Despite Mandy's calls for help, Ian refuses to acknowledge her - but she takes matters into her own hands by grabbing him and kissing him. As the bouncer pulls Mandy back, Ian rushes back to his car, wanting to escape the heated situation. However, just as Ian is about to leave, Mandy begs to join him inside the car and jumps into the passenger seat before they drive off together. Back on the Square, Ian and Mandy reminisce over the past but their chat is cut short as Paul from the strip club tracks them down.


Ian decides that he needs help dealing with Paul so heads to The Vic and convinces Alfie, Anthony and Tyler to back him up. Soon afterwards, Paul explains himself - revealing that Mandy stole £5,000 from him. Just as Ian is about to ask Mandy whether this is true, she escapes out of the back door. Later, Ian goes on the hunt for Mandy and searches the area surrounding the strip club. A girl soon offers him information in exchange for money, but things turn sour as the mystery woman reveals her police ID and arrests him for attempting to solicit a prostitute. After being questioned by the police, Ian returns home and is angry to find Mandy on his sofa after all the trouble she's caused for him. Ian orders her to leave but soon has a change of heart, tracking her down at the bus stop and inviting her to stay…


Meanwhile, Vanessa's reasons for contacting Harry become clear as she asks for his help in paying for Jodie's wedding. Later, things seem to be looking up as Vanessa and Harry tell Jodie that he's agreed to cover the wedding costs. However, Harry's nasty side soon re-emerges as he declares that he'll only help if Vanessa stays away from the ceremony. Darren thinks that it doesn't matter anymore as Jack is giving him a raise for his work at the car lot, but he soon discovers that it's not as much as he'd hoped.

Elsewhere, Tyler and Anthony have a poker game with Whitney and Lauren; Kat confronts Alfie after discovering that Shenice thinks she can stay in Walford; Norman is left disappointed as Pat rejects his advances; Whitney finds herself being wooed by Tyler but Anthony soon wrecks his brother's chances; Alfie makes a call to Martina in Spain; while Jean gets the wrong end of the stick yet again when she thinks that Norman has asked her out on a date.

Thurs 1st

Kat receives a phone call which appears to upset her and she remains in a distant mood all day. Her strange behaviour continues as Alfie informs Kat that Shenice is staying in Walford and she barely seems to take in what he's said. Sensing that something is wrong, Jean starts asking Kat questions but she refuses to open up, partly due to the fact that Alfie is distracted with his excitement over their future with Shenice. Later, however, Kat admits that she thinks things have moved too quickly - especially as she had no say in the decision that Shenice is now staying at The Vic. Towards the end of the day, she contacts Yusef and expresses confusion over his earlier phone call - asking how it's possible that her blood test results show she is pregnant…

Meanwhile, Mandy decides to cause some mischief by drawing a beard on Ian while he is sleeping. Later, Lola turns up and demands that Ian pays her even though he hasn't opened up the chip shop. Mandy is shocked by Lola's rude behaviour, while Ian isn't impressed either and sacks her on the spot. Ian decides to stay at home for the day and continues to bond with Mandy, but she starts taking her wild behaviour too far by wearing Lucy's clothes from her old bedroom and hiding Ian's phone in a jelly. When Ian spots the drawn-on beard, it's the final straw and he gives Mandy her marching orders. The businessman is also later forced to give Lola her job back when she threatens to reveal who's been staying with him.


Elsewhere, Janine has started moving some expensive new purchases into Number 27, but her war with Phil at the club continues as she discovers that he's hired Billy and Lola just to annoy her. Wanting Janine to pull her weight more, Phil locks her in the office and forces her to do a stock take. However, Janine tries to stay one step ahead by smashing the bottles and setting off the fire alarm to cause chaos for Phil. Later, Michael visits the club, feeling downbeat after learning that Tyler wants to pull out of a boxing match that he's arranged for him. Michael and Janine start exchanging harsh words and comment on how lonely the other must be. However, there's a surprise in store as Janine throws herself at Michael and they kiss passionately.


Also today, Jodie announces that she wants Abi, Poppy and Lauren to be her bridesmaids; Jean asks for Ian's help in pulling strings at the school so that Shenice can get a place as soon as possible; Darren is desperate to raise money for the wedding so secretly pockets £500 of the profits from a car he's sold at the lot; while Vanessa continues with her attempts to get close to Eddie.

Fri 2nd

Kat has taken a pregnancy test and hides the kit underneath her pillow. Throughout the day, she starts to show signs of her pregnancy and it doesn't take long for Jean to realise what's going on. In a heart-to-heart, Kat tells Jean that she's apprehensive over the pregnancy, but Jean tries to reassure her. Later, Shenice finds the pregnancy test and soon lets slip the secret in front of Kat and Alfie. With her secret out, Kat tells Alfie that she is indeed pregnant. However, she's shocked by Alfie's reaction to the news - he asks her who the father is…


Meanwhile, Tanya attends her latest appointment and hears that her cancer is small and ideal for surgery. The doctor advises her to book a hysterectomy for the week after the initial surgery as she may not need chemotherapy. Later, Tanya returns home and is appalled to discover that Cora, Patrick, Jay, Abi and Lauren have all been drinking together. As Tanya confronts her mother over letting the teens drink, old tensions between the pair are reignited. Eventually, Tanya orders Cora to leave - prompting an angry reaction from the girls, who complain that she is making their lives a misery.


Elsewhere, Michael wakes up in Janine's bedroom but cannot remember the night before. Janine soon starts concentrating on her ongoing battles with Phil once again, hiring Rainie to work at the club as she knows it will cause Phil problems with Shirley. At the same time, Michael tries to convince Tyler to reconsider his decision over the fight, even presenting him with a boxer robe displaying the name Tyler "The Rottweiler" Moon. Later, as Carol takes on a drinking challenge with the Moons at The Vic, Tyler approaches Michael and tells him that he wants to go ahead with the fight after all - as long as it remains a secret.

Also today, Pat explains to Norman that she doesn't want another relationship as nobody could match what she had with Frank. Following the setback, a disheartened Norman says his goodbyes and heads off to the tube station.
