Michael is fast becoming my favourite EE character. Not favourite as in I like him as he's obviously not too nice a person but I find him intriguing and interesting.

Monday

In the aftermath of Alfie's accusations against Kat, the atmosphere remains tense between the couple and Alfie has spent two nights on the sofa. With the pressure building, Kat's temper spills over during a shift at the pub when she spots Norman and Pat together. Kat accuses Norman of leading Jean on, but he denies her suggestions and Pat defends him by making a jibe about Kat's reputation. However, Kat fights back by throwing a drink in Pat's face, while a delighted Janine watches on.


Later, Kat orders Alfie to speak to Yusef about the baby situation. Yusef explains that Alfie's fertility may have changed since his last test and suggests that he should go for new tests. Alfie goes ahead with this and will receive the results tomorrow. Soon afterwards, Alfie admits to Kat that he may have been wrong to doubt her, but he makes things worse by adding that he was right to be cautious given her history. However, Kat is flabbergasted that he thinks she could cheat on him after the turbulent events of the past few months. As the heated discussion continues, Kat screams that she's through with being married to Alfie Moon…

Meanwhile, Dot asks Rose to stop winding Fatboy up when he expresses dissatisfaction over their current living situation. At the same time, Rose learns that the surgery needs a new receptionist and convinces Yusef to give her the position on a trial basis. Later, Cora asks Dot whether she can move in, and although Dot doesn't want to annoy Fatboy further, she eventually relents and tells Cora she can stay. However, Fatboy is not best pleased by the development.

Elsewhere, Syed wants to get in touch with Amira about the divorce. Syed suggests that he could find his wife by arranging a meeting with her father Qadim, but Christian forbids him from going ahead with this idea

Tuesday

Alfie receives the results of yesterday's tests and discovers that he is not sterile after all, leaving him overcome with emotion. However, his happiness is short-lived as Kat clutches her stomach at The Vic, knowing that something is wrong. Just as Kat insists that she needs to get to the hospital, Alfie enters the room and makes a sincere apology for ever doubting her. However, he soon realises that they have bigger issues to deal with when he spots that Kat is in pain.


Kat insists on Mo joining her in the taxi to the hospital rather than Alfie, so he has to make his own way there. When he arrives, Kat goes into the treatment room alone and later returns with the news that she has lost their baby. Kat tries to carry on as normal when they return to The Vic, but later abandons her shift and heads to bed. Alfie points out that they can try again for children now that they know he's not infertile, but Kat makes it clear that she's done with the heartbreak of trying for kids.


Meanwhile, Syed tells Zainab that he needs her help to find Amira and plans to contact Qadim. This prospect terrifies Zainab, while Christian overhears the exchange and isn't pleased by Syed's plans either. However, scheming Yusef steps in to help Zainab, explaining that he doesn't want Syed to marry Christian either. Yusef says that he will find Amira before deciding what to do next, and he later visits Qadim in his office. Although Qadim is initially apprehensive about his visitor, he soon realises that Yusef wants to double-cross Syed and Christian and agrees to provide him with information regarding Amira's whereabouts…

Elsewhere, Anthony helps Cora to move into Dot's house; Christian and Tyler train in the Square ahead of Tyler's fight; Eddie tries to get Carol to enjoy herself by agreeing to another date with him; while Anthony doesn't think Tyler's fight is a good idea and suggests that it should be kept secret from Eddie.


Thursday

The Moons are celebrating as Anthony bought some candlesticks from Cora for £200 when he was helping her move. However, Michael stirs up trouble by telling Cora that he believes they're actually worth more than that. Rose does some research online and discovers that the actual value is £1,000, so the two women confront the Moons at the emporium and go home with an extra £300. Later, Carol hears about the dodgy deal and angrily confronts Eddie about ripping off old women, leading to a heated argument between the pair.

At the same time, Michael piles the pressure on Vanessa, saying that he wants Carol to break up with Eddie on Tuesday. Vanessa also learns that Tyler will be fighting an unlicensed fight on Tuesday, which is happening behind Eddie's back but with Michael's approval. Concerned about being involved in something illegal, Vanessa confronts Michael and is appalled to realise that Michael wants Tyler to get seriously hurt in the fight. Michael reveals that Tuesday is the anniversary of his mother's death and he must get his revenge then. Michel then threatens Vanessa, ordering her to help him if she doesn't want Jodie to be left heartbroken.


Meanwhile, Yusef meets up with Syed and Christian and fills them in over his meeting with Qadim, explaining that Amira should be in contact soon. Masood also learns what's been going on and is hurt that Yusef is in control of the situation. Later, Zainab receives a phone call from Amira but keeps the news to herself. When she catches up with Masood, Zainab asks 'hypothetically' whether it would be best to keep news about Amira from Syed if she hears anything. However, Masood says that they want Syed to be happy and should let him divorce Amira. Later, Yusef sees that Zainab has Amira's phone number written down on a piece of paper and encourages her to destroy it. Zainab agrees and puts it in the bin, but Yusef later fishes it out secretly for his own purposes…

Elsewhere, Kat tries to put on a brave face behind the bar but still cannot forgive Alfie for accusing her of cheating, while Michael leads Anthony to believe that placing a bet on Tyler's fight would be highly profitable

Friday

Eddie tells Vanessa that he's fallen out with Carol, and she wastes no time before sharing this news with Michael. However, Michael isn't pleased and says that he wants to push the pair back together before destroying their relationship for good on Tuesday. As the day continues, Vanessa heads off to see Eddie at the antiques emporium and he invites her to stay for a drink. Seizing her chance, Vanessa leans in for a kiss and Eddie responds. It's clear that the lines are becoming blurred for Vanessa and she could be falling for Eddie for real. Later, though, Michael manages to convince Carol that Eddie has deep feelings for her and she visits the antiques emporium to apologise. With the pair back on track, Eddie seems smitten with Carol - blissfully unaware of Michael's plans…


Meanwhile, Zainab agrees to attend a drinks reception with Yusef. However, things get complicated when Alison - the wife of one of the other doctors - wrongly assumes that Zainab is married to Yusef. Zainab doesn't correct her and goes along with the fantasy, and it's not long before she and Yusef have created a fake history for themselves. Later, though, it seems that Zainab really is falling for Yusef's charms.

Elsewhere, Mandy makes a surprise return to Ian's home and starts encouraging him to have some fun. When Ian leaves to pick up Bobby from school, she causes more mischief by taking his wallet. Ian returns to find that Mandy has tidied the house, but she's also splashed his cash by buying three super soakers. A watergun war between Ian, Mandy and Bobby results in Janine being soaked accidentally as she passes. Surprised to see Mandy, Janine makes some nasty comments about her. Wanting to annoy Janine, Ian announces that Mandy will be staying with him - leaving the tearaway delighted.

Elsewhere, Ben returns to Albert Square and spends time with Jay, Lola and Duncan, the young boxer who has been training at the gym; Roxy is shocked when a for sale sign goes up at her flat; while Janine tells Vanessa that she knows she's being a gold-digger with Eddie
