I don't get how Corrie won the most awards on the night yet Eastenders got best soap. It's just wrong.

    Angry

They were slated for the baby swap story. But still won, something wrong somewhere.
If they had the worst story's in all the soaps they probably would still win (bent)

Kym Marsh has revealed that she was "annoyed" by the emphasis put on EastEnders' 'Best Soap' win at the British Soap Awards.

The actress, who is currently on maternity leave from portraying Michelle Connor in Coronation Street, wrote in her New magazine column that she enjoyed attending the event with her partner, Hollyoaks actor Jamie Lomas, but said that "it wasn't the best awards do [she's] ever been to".

She continued: "I was a bit annoyed that everyone focused on EastEnders winning 'Best Soap'. What about the nine awards that Corrie picked up?!"

The 34-year-old added that rumours about her planning to marry Lomas this year are false, joking: "I've just had a baby - give me a chance!"

Marsh has recently spoken out in defence of departing co-star Katherine Kelly, saying that the Becky McDonald actress is "lovely".
