My plans for a street party seemed to have gained momentum. A couple of other neighbours have asked me about it. Its less to do with the Royal Wedding than an excuse to have a neighbourly party.

Irish rugby captain Brian O'Driscoll and his actress wife Amy Huberman have been invited to the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Writing on his blog, the former British and Irish Lions skipper said it was an honour to be asked but did not say whether he would attend.

A total of 1,900 guests have been invited to the ceremony at Westminster Abbey on 29 April.

O'Driscoll is acknowledged as one of the most talented players in the world.

He made his debut for Ireland in 1999 and has scored 42 tries for his country.

He has toured with the British and Irish Lions three times, captaining the side in New Zealand in 2005.

St James's Palace has not officially released the names of invitees to the wedding but more than half are family and friends.

Not all the guests at the service will go on to a Buckingham Palace reception.

O'Driscoll is expected to be one of a number of sports stars attending, with David Beckham and his wife Victoria reported to be among the invited guests.

The 32-year-old Leinster centre married Ms Huberman in a highly publicised wedding last year.

Given his popularity in his native country, some correspondents described the nuptials as Ireland's own version of a Royal wedding.

So thats two more off my invite list

The thread has went somewhat off topic and we were discussing the forthcoming Royal Wedding as well as my Street Party so I didnt see any harm in adding this little bit to it

CORRIE'S Sean Tully is to do an Elton John - by bringing up long-lost son Dylan Wilson with his boyfriend Marcus.
The gay couple - played by Antony Cotton and Charlie Condou - get back together, then agree to look after Sean's son.

Sean fathered Dylan with pal Violet Wilson (Jenny Platt) by donating his sperm when she had fertility problems. Marcus was Violet's midwife in 2008.

Violet moved to London, but Sean's "hands on" dad dream comes true when he visits her at Easter, and bumps into Marcus.

Just like Sir Elt and David Furnish, who are raising Zachary, Sean and Marcus revel in raising Dylan.

twins Connor and Liam McCheyne will play Sean's son

A top source told TV Biz: "There's a chance older viewers will be shocked by the storyline, so we will handle things very sensitively."

Maybe she becomes ill, or even dies. It has to be something serious for her to give up her son.
