    Moving status bar

I have Firefox as browser and for some reason the icon bar at the bottom of the screen has moved to the side of the screen. I can't drag it back to the bottom, where I like it to be and the help section of Firefox is useless. I suspect it is something easy as viewing the windows (not sure if it is called status bar, it is the icons at the bottom of a screen when you open several windows). Can anyone help me please? Thanks guys

Do you mean the bar with the start button and other icons? Is it on the side when you're not in FF?

If so, and depending on what system you're running, you just have to change the properties. Right click on the desktop > properties/personalise > taskbar and start menu (bottom left on Seven) > taskbar location on screen - select bottom.

You can also access the task bar by right clicking anywhere on the bar (even is its not in its usual position) and selecting properties. Selecting 'lock the taskbar' will stop you accidentally dragging it into a different location.

I hope we're on the same wavelength or I've just made myself look like an idiot for not reading your post properly!
    Thanks CrazyLea

Have you tried dragging the bar? Right click on it and make sure "Lock the taskbar" is unchecked, then left-click on it and drag it back to the bottom. If this works, make sure "Lock the taskbar" is checked so it can't happen accidentally again.

Sorry if this is really obvious advice

Thank you for the advice, I accidentally managed to move the bar to the top of the screen this morning and then managed to drag it to to bottom again, so I am happy girl )) You have just reminded me of locking the bar, so thank you for that
