Im quite looking forward to the world cup now.

I think the three to watch are Argentina, Brazil and Spain, they are looking in incredible form.

Rio Ferdinands out of the England Squad and Dawsons in it wa reported yesterday and also Didier Drogbas out of the Ivory Coast squad due to injury as well. it must be gutting to get that fair and then get injured so close to the build up, its bee years of qualifying rounds and friendlies and all sorts.

Just watched Germany beat Australia 4-0, amazing game. England need to wake up if they want to stay in the competition until the end.

Germany were unstoppable! they were amazing, really great football, when Cacou came on he was on the pitch for like 1 and a half minutes, ran through the Aussie defence like a knife through butter. Think they could go all the way.

England fans were giving out on the radio last night, they have to win there group as if not they meet Germany, the winner of that group in the next round.

The amount of Robert GReen jokes that i have been sent! it doesnt take long.

I am really delighted that Germany played like they did.. there was so much hype about been a young team and without the guidance of Balack they won't go far.. I am not sure if the Germans played the best they can or it just looked like that as Oz team was so bad... I can see more from this team.. Hope they go far as they deserve it

    England were dreadful on Saturday...

Here we go again with another World Cup soap scheduling update for Week 26, the fourth consecutive week of schedule disruptions.

For me, the schedules are about as annoying as a droning vuvuzela.

The following schedules are entirely tentative and so completely subject to change until the group stages of the competition have wrapped.

At present, it appears that EastEnders will be broadcast for an hour on the Wednesday and for 30 minutes the following evening.

ITV soaps Coronation Street and Emmerdale, meanwhile, look to be scheduled with their normal patterns - aside from an hour-long episode on the Tuesday.

If, however, ITV air the football during Week 26, any episodes currently slated for the Monday, Tuesday or Friday will be rescheduled.

That said, this is why the BBC have scheduled EastEnders on the unaffected days. Wherever the football falls, 'Enders will remain in its Wednesday and Thursday slots.

Holby City, meanwhile, hopes to air two episodes during the week in a bid to make up for the missing ep from the previous week. This, however, is football-dependent.

    Saturday, June 26
    8.50pm - Casualty (50 mins)

    Monday, June 28
    7pm - Emmerdale (30 mins)
    7.30pm - Coronation Street (30 mins)
    8.30pm - Coronation Street (30 mins)
    No EastEnders

    Tuesday, June 29
    7pm - Emmerdale (1 hour)
    7.30pm - Holby City (1 hour)
    9pm - The Bill (1 hour)
    No EastEnders

    Wednesday, June 30
    7pm - Emmerdale (30 mins)
    8pm - EastEnders (1 hour)

    Thursday, July 1
    7pm - Emmerdale (30 mins)
    7.30pm - EastEnders (30 mins)
    8pm - Emmerdale (30 mins)
    8.30pm - Coronation Street (30 mins)
    9pm - Holby City (1 hour)

    Friday, July 2
    7pm - Emmerdale (30 mins)
    7.30pm - Coronation Street (30 mins)
    8.30pm - Coronation Street (30 mins)
    No EastEnders

The above schedules are entirely tentative and so completely subject to change until the group stages of the competition have wrapped.

Channel 4's Hollyoaks remains unaffected and will continue to air daily in its usual 6.30pm timeslot.

i know! thats definitley the shocker of the WC so far! scrappy goal but still a goal and a win all the same! Former city man with the goal for switzerland, Fernades, hes quite a good player.

Im glad we are at the second matches now, we now know what the teams are like.

Second matches are usually the best as they now have to play to get through... nobody wants to lose the first match so most of them are draws.. Spain losing was a shocker.. they will still get through

yeh i agree, They will still get through, how they didnt score was infuriating, the amount of times they hit the woodwork! I think that fact you said no one wants to lose the first match was the reason there were quite a lot of draws in the first games, the argentina game today was some match.
