That is what I am bit concerned about, tbh, that all this build-up will lead to a very big disappointment or will be a bit unbelievable like Darren being the father of Hev's baby.

That's what I'm worried about too. If the murderer turns out to be Roxy, then there damned well better be a good explanation for why she killed her beloved father.

Hopefully, the producers will have learned their lesson after the viewers' reaction to the Darren/Heather storyline, and won't use shock tactics at the expense of characterisation.

That has been rumoured for quite a while too, that he comes back. But why should he kill Archie all of a sudden? I know they did not get on but it would not make sense, seeing that he has not been mentioned for a long time and Amy is not his daughter

Apparently it was on the Dirty Den Webcam site that Grunt Mitchell hired a couple of his good mates from the SAS to do it as they werent too busy in Afghanistan

EASTENDERS stars have begged their bosses not to make them Archie Mitchell’s killer – because it could mean the end of their job on the soap.

The killer’s identity will be revealed in a live show on Friday night to mark the soap’s 25th anniversary.

So far, none of the cast knows whodunnit.

But those in the frame for the killing are praying it’s not them.

They fear their character will be sent to prison – and they will effectively be out of a job.

Charlie Brooks, 28, who plays one of the suspects, Janine Butcher, said: “I wish I knew who has killed Archie.

“I would like to know whether I have a job next year.”
