Duffy has reportedly started work on her second studio album in New York.
The Welsh singer is said to be writing material with The Roots' drummer Ahmir 'Questlove' Thompson and Albert Hammond Snr, father of The Strokes' guitarist Albert Hammond Jnr.
Albert Hammond Snr scored a number of hits in the 1970s, while Thompson has previously worked with acts including Christina Aguilera and N*E*R*D.
Duffy released debut album Rockferry in 2008, which has sold over 6 million copies worldwide.
The 25-year-old's as-yet-untitled second album is expected to be released later this year.
According to reports, Duffy recently sacked her manager Jeannette Lee over the direction of her career.
