URIOUS Faye Lamb gives Maisie Wylde a New Year’s Eve to remember – by slapping her across the face.

The devoted mum is shocked to discover her son Ryan is smitten with the blonde barmaid.

In an explosive storyline, viewers will see the pair enjoy a passionate kiss just days after *Christmas – with neither aware they are half-brother and sister. And despite the fact he’s already got a girlfriend, Ryan can’t keep away from Maisie.

Unknown to the rest of Emmerdale, Ryan and Maisie have the same dad – businessman Mark Wylde.

So when Faye catches the pair flirting in The Woolpack she realises she has to put an end to their smouldering feelings for one another. An Emmerdale insider said: “Things start to hot up between Ryan and Maisie over Christmas.

“Neither of them has any idea they share a dad.

“Faye realises she’s got to do something pretty dramatic to get Maisie to stay away from Ryan.

“And you don’t get much more dramatic than a slap in The Woolpack on New Year’s Eve.”

    Catch it on December 31.
