BATTERED BBC bosses have finally bowed to irate viewers and moved Strictly Come Dancing out of direct competition with the X Factor.
The ballroom hit will shift to an earlier slot after the Beeb's attempt to dent the ratings of its ITV1 rival backfired.

Since the shows went head to head, Simon Cowell's series has won an average 10.9m viewers on Saturdays compared to Strictly's 7.8million.

Fans angry at having to choose had besieged the BBC.

From October 31 the overlap will be just 45minutes, with Strictly kicking off at 6.50pm and ending at 8.45pm, while the X Factor starts at 8pm.

An ITV source said: "It looks like they're running scared."

But last night the Beeb denied Strictly, hosted by Bruce Forsyth and Tess Daly had been shunted due to the X Factor.

A spokesman said it was to make way for a show by impressionist Jon Culshaw.

I really liked Jo but it was the right choice, although Craig really needs to go next week

Finally Jo has gone she really lacked rhythm usually the professionals have something to work with but in this case Brendan attempted to do the impossible with her. Maybe next time Craig will go once they get to his hometown

Brendan seemed to be dragging Jo around the dance floor and she didn't have her heart in it from what I could see, she should have been voted off any way ..Craig was pretty bad.. fans saved his sorry tushie..Ricky (EE)surprised me, I had no idea he could MOVE like that LOL..
Seems to me the dresses/costumes/outfits have been recycled from previous years..
Natalie also surprised me, I had no idea she could even dance, I guess I am biased cos she always appeared to be dumpy and clumsy as Sonia..
Since last night was my first show, how many weeks are left now ???

I feel the one thing about Jo Wood was I thought for a woman of her age she had nice legs but no bloody good when they hardly can move! Even when she had to dance in one spot before coming down the stairs she wasn't in time

There is a little while to go for this show I will say up until around December time

I take it the looney's who are voting to keep Craig in are in the same asylum as the J&E fans. Another farce that Jade and Ian were in the dance off. They were flaming 3rd for goodness sake. It should have been Craig or Phil in the dance off with Jo, they are not progressing as the other celebs.
