I second that Hannelene. If the pain doesn't subside you should go back.

Someone I know had her jaw broken when she had a wisdom tooth out a few weeks ago. She got a fungal infection in the jaw and ended up in hospital three days before flying to Florida.

I don't mean to scare you but don't sit tight and hope the pain will go away if it goes on for longer than expected.

My niece just became a dentist so I'm switching to her. My wisdom teeth keep threatening to come out.

I have a mate that has a high pain threshold. Has dental treatment without any painkillers.

thanks for the advice

as i cant really do anything about it until monday i just googled it and apparently there is a thing called dry socket which can be caused with smoking before the recommended time.........which i hold my hands up and say i did so this may be the case.

I'll give them a call first thing on monday morning and see what they say

phoned the dentist this morning as the pain hasnt got any better.

She said that part of the root or the nerve broke off when she was taking the tooth out and she left it in there cause it doesnt usually cause problems.

Ive to go back on thursday to have it taken out if its still sore.

i wish i never started reading this thread now, im having one out on the 24th, its wobbly because the pocket is smashed... i can actually wobble itso my dentist said it needs to come out but with it been wobbly it wont take much

im really scared....i have work the next day i thought i would be ok but sounds like i wont be
