My book list has grown again. The sad thing is that I actually want to buy these books because they're interesting, not because they will help with my course That's so geeky.

How can a 180 page book cost thirty pounds? That's extortionate considering a 600 pages textbook is fifty quid.

Think I'm going to start playing the lottery

Maybe the premium bonds Abigail; that way you can't lose more than the book's worth trying to win something

I have some premium bonds actually. Might cash them in and buy some books. I've never won anything on them

I've just made some ice cream. Been a busy day. Had to go to Maisie's school for a wildlife garden opening and picnic. It wasn't as exciting as it sounds. The headmistress is very patronising, she talked to adults as if they were in primary school.

Newer bonds tend to win bonds more often; maybe get those out and put some different ones in. My dad's had some bonds since he was young as my gran got them for him. He's never won anything on them but he put some in back in October and has won on those.

I'm looking through some photos on facebook of a cousin I've never met and didn't know existed until a few weeks ago. It's strange looking at him and knowing he's family. He looks so much like my uncle and my granddad. It's freaky because none of the cousins I know look like granddad.

My uncle John was a bit of a ladies man in his youth and has at least 6 kids now (four of whom I do know and see, oldest is a year younger than me). This 'new' cousin is in his 30s and also has a brother to the same mother. My mum thinks there's at least one more kid that she doesn't know about.

Thinking about my granddad has just upset me I haven't seen him for five years because of family troubles. My nanna is an evil twisted woman who stopped everyone seeing him, even his own children and the doctor. Imagine a vicious Alsatian fiercely guarding a piece of meat from another alsation, teeth bared, snarling etc. and you're halfway there to what she's like.

End of 3 very hectic weeks at work tomorrow, I hope things slow down a bit from then on. Still feeling quite upset about my sister-in-law's nasty emails on the weekend, had a very insincere message today that she is sorry but you can tell she does not really mean it. Always thought I got on with her, that is why I feel so shocked and hurt. Luckily I can avoid her, most of the contact was by email and I will not communicate with her in that way again. Feeling quite tired which does not help the mood I guess. All I need is a nice sunny weekend to perk me up again

Today i haevn't been up to much just relaxing and sneezing a lot! my mum failed her driving test so it's been scheduled for anonther day.

I was yelling at the blue ray player cause it didnt want to read twilight but finally did after like 12 times of opening/reopening.

My mum was watching Americas Got Talent and Leona Lewis's - Footprints in the sand was playing in the background and i ended up nearly crying.

But all in all today has been a good day

yesterday i had to sort some stuff out with my new house. one of the people who was meant to be coming to sort stuff out didnt turn up which was really annoying though

and my grandads in hospital. they said he had a blood clot a few months ago but now his leg has gone really swollen and a horrible colour. and luckily my gran decided he should go up the hospital as the doctor tried to fob him off! (the same doctor who didnt do anything when his finger was infected and he nearly lost it! ) they were going do an operation on it yesterday but then decided not too, apparently theyve never seen anything like it and dunno what it is
