Charlize Theron, Sting and Sienna Miller have signed a petition ordering a top London restaurant to stop serving a rare fish dish.

The trio, along with model Elle Macpherson and former Cheers stars Woody Harrelson and Ted Danson, added their names to a letter sent to the boss of posh eaterie Nobu - Nobu Matsuhisa - in protest at the endangered blue fin tuna's inclusion on his menu.

They claim they can no longer dine at the establishment "with a clear conscience" if it continues to serve the fish, which is heading towards extinction in the next four years.

The letter states, "We feel strongly that Blue Fin Tuna must be completely removed from your menu as it is an extremely endangered animal."

And British comic Stephen Fry has also weighed into the debate, saying, "It's lunacy. There's no justification for peddling extinction."

The stars demand a reply from Matsuhisa by Monday.

Hmm, I doubt three high profile celebs will stop Nobu from serving the dish, or indeed cause them to go bankrupt from their lost custom.

Hit movie Bridget Jones's Diary is to be made into a musical.

The 2001 film, starring Renee Zellweger, grossed $282 million (£188 million) worldwide, while the 2004 sequel, Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason, raked in $262 million (£175 million).

And the writer of the original novels, Helen Fielding, is hoping to cash in further on the franchise with an all-singing all-dancing stage production.

She tells U.K. newspaper The Times, "I've been doing it (writing) for two years, and writing the songs."

Cycling legend Lance Armstrong has welcomed his first child with girlfriend Anne Hensen.

The sports superstar announced in December that he and Hensen were to become parents.

And Armstrong took to Twitter.com to confirm his son Max has been born, weighing in at 7lbs (3.5kg).

The Tour De France champ joked on his page, pretending the post was written by the newborn tot: "Wassup, world? My name is Max Armstrong and I just arrived. My Mommy is healthy and so am I!"

Armstrong, who dated rocker Sheryl Crow for three years, has three children with ex-wife Kristin - Luke and twins Isabelle and Grace.

Gazza will be dead in a year

ONE of Paul Gascoigne's closest pals says the fallen soccer star will DIE within the next year.

Health spa boss Stephen Purdew reckons Gazza is in a WORSE state than George Best was a few months before he died.

Worried Stephen cared for both fallen football legends at his Champneys chain-and made the same grim prediction about Best less than a year before he suffered multiple organ failure in 2005, aged 59.

He spoke out after Gazza, 42, fell off the wagon this week-and was pictured being helped off a train in Newcastle by best pal, Jimmy "Five Bellies" Gardner, because he was so wasted.

Stephen said: "Just as I said about George. . . if Paul does not get his act together now, he will be dead within the year.

"It's a tragedy because Paul is a nice man but that is what will happen.

"The difference with George was he was older and his problem was just drink. George wasn't smoking heavily and taking other bits and pieces, so in some ways he could last longer.

"Paul will have a complete organ breakdown."

Stephen, 50, arranged for Gazza's most recent stint in rehab-in January and February at Tony Adams' Sporting Chance Clinic in the grounds of Champneys Forest Mere health farm in Hampshire. Now he feels Gazza has wasted that opportunity-along with his many previous attempts to sort himself out.

He added: "Paul has made it a complete waste of time, money and effort.

"He owes me money, though I'm not saying how much, and he owes money to Sporting Chance because he was supposed to pay a contribution for counselling.

"The people at Sporting Chance are devastated. They worked so hard at getting Paul better, the Professional Football Association were involved as well, and so many others in soccer supported him, because they were all keen to see him get better.

I have no sympathy for him anymore

"Paul also upset an agent we introduced him to-who was doing a very good job for him restructuring his career-by making abusive phone calls late at night.

"Paul has to say he has let down himself and a lot of other people. He did better with Sporting Chance than with other places. Yet that was about the 15th time he had been to rehab.

"He must be running out of rehab centres to go to. The only way he'll make money now is writing a guide to rehabs!" Stephen said he knew something was wrong before seeing the recent snaps of Gazza with Jimmy.

He said: If I was to give him marks out of 10 for effort, like footballers get from the press after matches, Paul would only get one.

"It's very hard to see any human being in this sort of state but, as this has happened time and time again with Paul, I have no sympathy with him any more. It's a tough world out there-a lot of people are ill and suffering through no fault of their own.

"Addiction can be conquered if you've got support around you. You can make more effort than Paul has.

"When you make no effort, there is no sympathy."

Actress Evan Rachel Wood has left little doubt she's dating E.R. star Shane West, urging fans to put two and two together.

The Wrestler star has been spotted on the actor's arm at a handful of events recently and left Los Angeles club Bardot with West on Saturday after celebrating his birthday.

Caught outside by HollyScoop.com reporters keen to find out if new romance rumours are true, Wood said, "I think you can put two and two together. I won't confirm or deny it, but I don’t think I have to."

The actress was thought to have reconciled with ex-boyfriend Marilyn Manson after she confirmed the couple was back together in a magazine interview in April.
After Manson he is a big step up

I know everyone is against him for what he decided but maybe he had his reasons for not wanting kids with Sheryl

Gareth Gates has posed naked for a charity photoshoot in a women's magazine.

The pop singer stripped off to raise funds for prostate and testicular cancer charity Everyman in this month's Cosmopolitan.

Gates's snap features him reclining in a theatre seat, casually covering his genitalia with his left hand. West Ham and England footballer Carlton Cole also appears in the centrefold spread.

Gates, who finished second in the first series of Pop Idol, became a father earlier this year. Last month, he ended his four-month run in West End musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

I won't rush out and buy the magazine
