The BBC today announced that it has acquired soapboards.co.uk.
The purchase of soapboards.co.uk, is a key part of the BBC's strategy to provide a range of new initiatives in the rapidly developing area of online community sites. Following the acquisition, soapboards.co.uk will continue to operate independently to preserve its successful and passionate community.
Commenting on the purchase Aper Follis, entertainment director of the BBC said: "I'm delighted that we have been able to secure this deal.
