Holby City just isn't the same without Peter Wingfield's character Dan Clifford... so it's lucky he's coming back!

The actor, currently causing mayhem with Jack Bauer in 24, will be returning (briefly) for a sensational storyline in the spring.

Surgeon Dan was last seen breaking doctor Maddy's heart, so perhaps he's coming back to declare undying love.

Then again, he might have just forgotten his keys.
