Corrie'S hellraiser Becky Granger will face a romantic dilemma next year.
Two hunky fellas propose to the fiery blonde on the same day.
Becky has been unlucky in love since arriving on the Street – but 2009 will prove to be her year.
In romantic scenes, to be screened in early spring, Becky (Katherine Kelly, 29) is stunned when old flame Jason Grimshaw bursts into the café dressed as a Naval officer.
Loved-up Jason (Ryan Thomas, 25) recreates the final scene from hit flick An Officer And A Gentleman.
He breezes in, sweeps her off her feet and takes her outside where he asks her to marry him.
But moments later Rovers boss Steve McDonald ruins the romantic gesture and begs Becky to wed him instead.
A Corrie source confessed: “Men are like buses for Becky. She waits years for one, and two come along at once.
“Both proposals come out of the blue and she’s thrilled by Jason’s grand gesture, but Steve’s proposal leaves her with a massive headache.
“Fans will have to wait and see who she picks.”
Steve (Simon Gregson, 34) and Becky have become an unlikely couple but they are having to hide their relationship because Steve is still with Michelle Connor (Kym Marsh, 32).
He does finally become a free man, though, and then has to fight Jason for Becky’s hand.
