    Ahhh!

    WJEC's history
WJEC was previously called the Welsh Joint Education Committee. It was established in 1948 as a consortium of local education authorities in Wales. It is now a registered charity, and a company limited by guarantee, owned by the 22 local authorities in Wales. A subsidiary company, WJEC CBAC Services Limited, provides specialist printing and publication services.

Now WJEC provides examinations, assessment, professional development, educational resources, support for adults who wish to learn Welsh and access to youth arts activities. It also provides examinations throughout England.

basically, it used to be an exam board only in Wales... but that's now changed and it also examines in England now. I don't knwo when it changed though, so it may be recent

My school does WJEC Film Studies and I live in England. It's the only WJEC thing we have though.

I have 2 in January, though some people have 0. I can imagine myself having at least 5 come June though. Because of the spec changes I only have 2 units for everything but Business, which hasn't changed because it's an Applied course. I will have 1 exam for everything plus any resits in June. There are no practice papers, the Psychology exam is on the anniversary of the day my Gran died and I'm predicted an A. Apparently they don't give special consideration for A Levels so I think that'll be a resit. Praying I don't mess up Economics; apparently most people fail it the first time they sit an exam in it

You can get special circumstances at A level but only if you are ill on the day (really ill, not just a cold) or have a disability which directly affects your work. Even then it's not guarranteed that the exam board will allow them. I doubt you would get them for your circumstances.

Ah right i knew there was definitly some special circumstances for A Levels as my friend got one. I though i was losing it!

I reember last year one of the girls in my year turned up to our public exam after having an operaation in the morning and the lecturer was like glad to see youve made it. She was still high on all the gas! It was really funny.
