James Corden has apologised to Keira Knightley after he joked that they enjoyed repeated sex sessions.
The Gavin & Stacey star claimed that they had indulged in three days of "sensual lovemaking" and "solid shagging" during a speech at the Sony Ericsson Empire Awards in March.
He made the apparently off-the-cuff remark while introducing the actress's pre-recorded acceptance speech after she won the best actress gong for her role in Atonement.
However, he has now apologised after Knightley reportedly blanked him at a recent party.
WENN quotes him as saying: "Truly, I thought about doing that (the sex joke) 20 seconds before I went up [on stage]. On my life, it just came out.
"It really was a joke. I would like to know she did know that. I think she's great."
Where does this guy get off making jokes about people and slagging the cast of Hollyoaks off? He's not sending out a good impression of himself.
