Coronation Street actor returning as different character

Corrie bosses are hoping viewers have bad memories after sneaking in a previous star to play a new role.

The last time Madhav Sharma was seen in the soap he played corner shop boss Dev Alahan's father.

Now he's set to appear later this month as Prem Mandel, an entrepeneur who befriends Dev and takes him under his business wing.

Viewers last saw Madhav as Ranjiv Alahan at his son's wedding in October 2004.

Then he disappeared from sight and has only been in touch by telephone.

Madhav will figure in one of Corrie's best storylines of the year when Dev does the dirty on him and starts having an affair with his wife.

Looking forward to this, especially if Amber finds out and gives him hell
