do you need a visa to go to florida?
do you need a visa to go to florida?
I don't think a visa is needed for less than 90 days when you visit America. Just fill out a green form on the way there, they rip the bottom bit off whem you arrive and staple it into your passport. When you leave, they take it back from your passport.
But make sure you have the address where you are staying! My dad didn't (it was in his suitcase)...he had to ask someone else (in a similar situation) to get his suitcase for him and get the address because they wouldn't let him go! We waited for over two hours for him!
Where do you get a green form from?

I think you also need one of the new passports. Biometric, I think they are called, so they can scan it when you arrive? Well I was told that when I asked the Gibraltar Government office but maybe things are slightly different for people with a Gibraltarian passport, however, worth checking out just in case.
As an American living in Europe and travels to the usa with my Dutch partner,, you are only required to have an actual visa if staying over 90 days..We are going for 6 weeks, so it is not required..If you are still in doubt, contact your embassy, they can give you answers..
The form is the visa waiver program. Form I-94 (I think).
You can use it for a maximum of 90 days in the US, but you cannot use the vias waiver program if you have any criminal record, or if you have previously overstayed on the VWP.
My friend went to Florida last year and she said you get a green form on the plane and you fill it in. She didn't say anything about a biometric passport.
Biometric passports are fairly new so I can't see it being a statutory requirement for everyone to have one if travelling to USA.
Do you have an American passport Jodi?
Thanks CrazyLea
They take your fingerprints and scan your eyes so I don't think you need a new passport. Mine has a chip in it. Is that a biometric passport?
