Apparently the strike has now been made compulsory for NUT members. But as i said before, schools and colleges will only shut if you have lots of teachers in that union...

90% of the teachers at my college are in the union. My college is still open though, I might go to the library I'll probably work better there.
Peter: So how many are there? Is it bad? Olivia: Did you eat? Peter: Yeah. Olivia: Well, that's unfortunate.

Good day today . Was really, really quiet today in work. So just played loads of games with a work mate. First we played I spy - I totally rocked in that , one of the manager type guys came in while we were playing so he decided to play too, it was rather funny spesh as I was awesome at it . Then we played hangman, I won at this too . Then noughts and crosses... yes I won at that too . Then we played a game where we had to get a "ball" in a cup.... I kinda won that too... it was 1 all so we did rock, paper, scissors to see who wins.. and I won . Then we had a tower making competiton with the UHT milk... I actually lost that. All in all, rather a productive day .

Had a pretty rubbish day. Biology was cancelled so I got the morning off. Stayed at school for an hour to read through the notes we were given then I came home.

Physics this afternoon where I had a migraine. It felt like someone was stabbing me in the head with a knife. Worst one I've had in a while. Then I went all funny, my muscles started contracting and I felt faint so my teacher brought me home. It took me ages to answer his questions, I knew what I wanted to say but I couldn't find the words.

I'm seeing the neurologist tomorrow so maybe he can she some light on all these damn migraines. I know they're either stress or hormone related but they're not frequent enough for me to take a preventer.

Anyway, going for a shower then I'm going to have some porridge and get into bed.
    Thanks CrazyLea

All teachers that are in the NUT are striking. Teachers from other unions can't work either because its illegal and undermines what the NUT are doing. Therefore your school will be closed unless none of your teachers are in the NUT.
Yh, our other teachers are stil teaching but they arent allowed to actually take the lessons we will miss through the teachers striking, so the teachers who are in are going to do extra lessons

and Abi it isnt compulsory as my science teacher is in the union but isnt striking, and another teacher who i dont have is also not striking

take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints and kill nothing but time

I got 2 more science courseworks today. For next week at least. Feels like they just wait and then pile the work on. I'm meant to be revising but I can't until I get this work done.

No its not compulsory....the NUT (of which Im a member) is 'inviting' its members to strike...infact some people (who are due to retire in the next couple of years) are being advised by the union NOT to strike as it would affect their pensions.

Thanking the fabulous TAbbie, for the banner!

I've had a good day. I got an A in AS ICT mock exam, and the highest mark in my class.

I am not in school on Thursday because of the strike. Yay.
