Aww Tannie that's terrible. Hope your mate feels better soon despite this boyfriend. Can't believe you were thrown out of the bowlplex at 9; aren't you considered an adult at 16 where you are?
Back to school on TuesdayI don't think I've ever been this grateful for a teacher development day in my life! Totally not in the mood for it; I can't be bothered to do any work that involves getting a pen out as it is, I've only read through revision guides a bit and some schoolbooks.
Went shopping on Wednesday and bought one top, but my mate's mum called when we were on the bus on the way back (went like 16 miles from my mates house and it's only just more expensive than me going 6 miles on a bus to see this mateWhat's with that?!), and told my mate that a family friend hung himself. She was the one who was in hospital and she said she felt sick and dizzy on the way back. I did get a text from her to say she got home ok but it was a nightmare having to get off of the bus knowing that she still had miles to go before she got home.
I went to the doctors and was diagnosed with depression. Doctor said she couldn't prescribe me anything because of my age, but she's referred me for councelling. Not impressed about that as it is, and how they actually expect me to have transport to get to these sessions is a bit of a mystery. Lack of transport is partially responsible for this to start with!
I text another mate earlier and she hasn't replied. She's probably enjoying herself with our other mate while I'm stuck here by myself.. I can't stop crying.
And Abbie; I thought it was that you could register to give blood at 16 but you're not actually called to donate until you're 17.
Blood donation Who can use it?You can donate blood every 16 weeks. Regular donors make donations up to three times a year. This allows your body time to build up its stores of iron before the next donation.
On the day that you donate blood, you should drink plenty of liquid (but not alcohol), and you should eat normally.
Nearly everyone who is aged between 17 and 60, weighs over 50kg, and is in good general health, can give blood. Once you have given your first donation you can continue to give blood until your 70th birthday.
A confidential health interview the first time you come to donate is necessary to check that you are fit to give blood, and that your blood is safe for the patients who receive it. You will be asked to complete a Health check questionnaire and will be asked a few other questions designed to prevent the transmission of infection. This includes questions about diseases such as hepatitis B, hepatitis C, HIV (AIDS) and malaria. If you are unwell on the day, such as with flu or a cold, you will not be able to give blood.
If you have had a tattoo or any form of body piercing in the last six months you may not donate. You must also tell the donor carer if you have had any of these procedures in the last 12 months because an additional test will need to be conducted. If you have recently been taking antibiotics you will have to wait until you have finished them and until you have fully recovered from your infection. Women may not donate while they are pregnant and for a period of time afterwards, equal to the duration of the pregnancy. Breastfeeding mothers can give blood provided they are not anaemic.
Hope this helps with some of your questions. I used to donate but now it appears to be easier to get blood out of a stone than my veins, they disappear as soon as a needle gets close![]()
Apparently i am too thin to give blood and my mates too gay.
Nearly done my work i am having a really irritating phase where i am waking up at 7 30 and cant get back to sleep. Its odd well its good when i have 9 AM lecture, but as i got in at 2 today i thought a lie in was in order evidently not. In a way i have managed to do more work so thats good.
Last night was ace just spent hours in spoons. Met loads of people out which was good. The people in halls are all having WW3 i think loads of arguments so i am just staying in my room and keeping out of it, thank God for SB sanity. A proper conversation, i just re read that how sad do i sound.
I am going out in a bit though, muy mate and his daughter are coming to visit from manchester so that should be good.
I think I'm going to have a lazy day today.
I've got an abstract to write for my bio cousework, should only take 10 mins. We've been doing coursework since June last year. Every lesson we spend 20 mins on it going over the same things.
I should maybe do some reading for biology and a bit of research for my physics coursework.
Its my dad's birthday today. I don't think we're doing anything special, we never do.
Thanks CrazyLea
