TV chef Rustie Lee to join Eastenders

The Sunday Mirror reports that Rustie Lee has won a role as Opal, the battleaxe aunt of street sweeper Gus. Rustie said that she is absolutely over the moon and can't wait. She will be arriving in the spring.

Peter: So how many are there? Is it bad? Olivia: Did you eat? Peter: Yeah. Olivia: Well, that's unfortunate.

Rustie Lee is a television chef and actress, most famous for her appearing in the 1980s on TV-am. She was born in Jamaica. According to some sources, Rustie left TV-am under something of a cloud after allegations of product placement for a well-known brand of table salt. However, she also appeared as a presenter on the second, less successful, incarnation of ITV gameshow Game for a Laugh. She was also the subject of a popular joke at the time, involving another celebrity, Jimmy Nail. It would be asked what her name would be after a marriage to Jimmy Nail, with the answer being, Rustie Nail.
She is well known for her "infectious" laughter and I hope she brings a bit of fun to Albert Square.

Rustie Lee is a legend and here are two clips of her, what out for a young chris tarrant. Her laugh is just the best in the world. God I miss Les Dawson

For Some Reason this won't play but if you click the writing at the top of the box it opens a new window - This is the best clip
