thankfully we now have matresses on the bed! though its annoying cos weve been made to start paying rent from the 1st sept but theres work still being done on the house! anyway went back down there yesterday taking some more stuff down, moving in on a week friday hopefully so looking forward to that

also got a new phone on monday, it was meant to be £140 but i got it for £95 so im quite pleased with that

    I am kind of miserable.

On of my close colleagues died suddenly last week. He was a fit, family guy of about 50 - he ran and played 5 a side regularly and wasn't ill at all.

He collapsed at work and died several days later. He has a young son and his family a devastated as you would expect.

    It is really heartbreaking.

Sorry to hear about your close colleague Trinity - that must have been a real shock.

I started sixthform 2 days ago - we've had 2 induction days and tomorrow i start my subjects for AS level - i am looking forward to it, but i'm a bit nervous too as sixthform is different to Year 11.

glad you two are both enjoying college, i found the 2 years of 6th form college were miles better than school, they give you more freedom and find that the people you are with are like you as you have picked the same subjects and things.

What subjects have you chosen to do?

I took Drama, English Literature, ICT and Media Studies.

I started my subjects today and i had 3 free lessons in a row! So between 10am and 2pm i was doing absolutely nothing and just hanging round with mates..it was a bit boring lol...but you do have a lot more freedom and i feel the teachers respect you a lot more (the headteacher even joked with me and a group of friends today! ) I had Media and English today - good lessons so far, except my English teacher totally goes off the topic we are meant to be talking about and talks about random things.

So sorry to hear of the loss of your colleague Shari. We lost two colleagues last year to cancer one was age 42 the other 52. It really gives you a reality shock when someone still young and fit suddenly dies. It's just as well as we don't know what is round the corner.

Thanks to Vicky for my great new banner xxx

id use the stairs as well abbie lifts are scary things, im never using one ever again after today!!

i took connor to taekwondo which is on second floor and as he is lazy he refuses to climb the stairs! i needed to drop spomething off to curves, the gym i got to which is on the the thrird floor so as we were early i decided to nip up quik and drop it off. so we pressed for thrid floor and it went up fine the just as it reahed floor 3 it made a wierd clanging noise like something had hit it. me and connor looked at eavh other and waited for doors to open, which it didnt!!!!

we just stood there waiting for a while and i was thinking oh god im stuck in here its boiling hot and noone will be able to rescue us, noone will ever find us (as you do) and connor will ahve to eat me to survive LOL!!!

was about to press alarm button when thought just whack the open door button a few times!!! so relieve dwhen it finally opened!

But never again will i use a lift that was far to close to me being stuck!!!! we used teh stairs t go down!!
