I've just remembered another film that has me bawling but I can't remember the name of it so I am relying on Alan and Jodi to help me out. The film was made in the 30's or 40's and its about 2 girls one black and one white. When they grow up the black woman becomes the white girls servant. They both have a daughter who are the same age and grow up to be best friends, but the black woman's daughter does not have the dark skin colour that her mother has and she tries to pretend that she is black as she is ashamed to be.

At the end of the film the black woman dies and as the funeral processing is travelling along the street the girl runs out grabing the carridge screaming that she wants her mom. Its so sad

No it was a really old film. I first seen on telly in the 70's and again a few years later but I think it must be 20 years since the last time I saw it.

I cry at loads of films with dogs in them (yes i am a bit obsessed) if it is a sad and they die even if that is only a small part of the film i cry and also if the dog saves the day that makes me cry as well the lassie and bethoven films always make me cry.The Pursuit of Happyness made me cry a bit as well and other films i can't think of as well although i do cry more at tv as i get more into it than films.

Titanic & Armageddon. Wow, I don't think I've ever blubbed so much over a film in my life. And the worst part? The first time I saw Armageddon was in a science lesson in school. It got the part where Liv Tyler is talking to Bruce Willis before he dies and me one of my friends had tears just streaming down our faces!

Also The Green Mile, when Eduard Delacroix is being executed and he starts to say sorry..gets me everytime. Especially when the officer doesn't wet the sponge...

same here for all those movies.. I still cry at Armageddon and I have seen it a million times.. I even watched it in German and I cried.. that movie is sad in every language

My Dad got really upset at the green mile and my dad never shows emotions where movies are concerned. Hollie, get yourself a copy of I am Sam.. that is a real tear jerker

Just checked that one out on imdb and watched the trailer... I think as soon as I get some money I shall be buying that one! It looks fab and I love Dakota Fanning, she's brilliant!

    Thanks!
