Australian actress Isla Fisher has fuelled rumours that she is expecting a baby with Borat star Sacha Baron Cohen.

The Wedding Crashers star has been dating the British comedian since 2002. She recently converted to Judaism so that she can marry Baron Cohen later this year.

Actor Hugh Grant has been arrested over an allegation he attacked a photographer in London, before throwing a tub of food at him.
Photographer Ian Whittaker told the Daily Star newspaper he was kicked before the tub was hurled at him.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed a 46-year-old had been arrested on suspicion of assault and has since been released on bail.

Mr Grant's lawyers confirmed an incident was now under investigation.

Romantic comedies

It is thought the alleged incident took place near the actor's west London home.

Mr Grant voluntarily presented himself at Notting Hill police station on Wednesday, where he was arrested and then questioned for an hour.

He has been bailed and will return for questioning in a month.

Mr Grant is best known for starring in romantic comedies such as Four Weddings and a Funeral, Notting Hill and About a Boy.

In February, he topped the UK box office chart playing an ex-pop star in Music and Lyrics, alongside Drew Barrymore.

He famously dated model Elizabeth Hurley for 13 years. He recently split from Unicef ambassador Jemima Khan.

An Indian court has issued an arrest warrant for Hollywood actor Richard Gere after he kissed Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty in public.
Gere, 57, kissed Shetty, 31, several times on the cheek at an Aids awareness event in New Delhi earlier this month.

Local resident Poonam Chand Bhandari filed a complaint and Judge Dinesh Gupta called it "an obscene act".

It was not immediately clear how the warrant could affect Gere, who is a frequent visitor to India.

Shetty, who found fame outside India as the winner of Celebrity Big Brother in the UK, has also been asked to appear before the court.

Photographs of the clinch were splashed across front pages of newspapers in India.

Public displays of affection are still largely taboo in India, and protestors in Mumbai (Bombay) set fire to effigies of Gere following the incident.

Dance scene

Shetty has defended Gere saying that it was all done "in good humour".

"He especially told me to tell the media that he didn't want to hurt any Indian sensibilities," she said.

She said Gere had only been re-enacting a scene from his film Shall We Dance.

Under Indian law, a person convicted of public obscenity faces up to three months in prison, a fine or both.

Gere, star of films such as Chicago and Pretty Woman, is a Buddhist and travels to India frequently to visit the Dalai Lama, who lives in exile in the north of the country.

Celebrity heiress Paris Hilton has been jailed for 45 days after being found guilty of violating her probation for a drink-driving conviction.
A Los Angeles judge ruled she must start her sentence on 5 June and has no prospect of an early release.

Ms Hilton told the judge she was very sorry and that she would "pay complete attention to everything" from now on.

The socialite said she did not know her license had been suspended when caught driving without headlights in February.

According to papers filed in Los Angeles' Superior Court, Ms Hilton was stopped by California Highway Patrol officers on 15 January and informed she was driving on a suspended license. She then reportedly signed a document acknowledging she was not allowed to drive.

On 27 February, she was stopped by Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department for speeding on Sunset Boulevard with her car's headlights off and charged with violating her probation.

Although Ms Hilton maintained she was not aware her license had been suspended, court papers said the document she signed in January was found in her car's glove compartment.

She was also accused of failing to enrol in an alcohol education programme by a court-ordered deadline.

Late entrance

Ms Hilton was sentenced to three years probation, fined $1,150 (£582), and lost her license at the end of January after pleading no contest to a drink driving charge in September.

Despite prosecutors saying the heiress deserved a jail sentence prior to Friday's hearing, Ms Hilton arrived at the court at least 10 minutes late.

Her mother, Kathy, laughed when the demand for a custodial sentence was made during the prosecution's closing argument and asked Judge Michael Sauer for his autograph.

"I'm very sorry and from now on I'm going to pay complete attention to everything," Ms Hilton told the court before she was sentenced.

"I'm sorry and I did not do it on purpose at all."

Reacting to the ruling, one of her lawyers said the jail sentence was unfair.

"To sentence Paris Hilton to 45 days in jail to me was uncalled for, inappropriate and bordered on the ludicrous," Howard Weitzman said.

"I think she was singled out because she's who she is."

If Ms Hilton does not report to jail on 5 June she will face 90 days behind bars.

The BBC's David Willis says Ms Hilton, heiress to the Hilton Hotel fortune, first gained notoriety for her constant partying as a teenager.

She is now to trade the Hilton for the Los Angeles county jail - a temporary end to her life in the fast lane, our correspondent says.

Mum-of-two Jade, 25, wept with joy when a test confirmed the unplanned pregnancy.

Jade last night told The Sun: “I’m thrilled. Jack’s over the moon too but it’s come as a bit of a shock. We’re still telling friends and family.”

Jack, 19, had been dismissed as a short-term love for Jade, and has previously been caught playing away by The Sun.
