There was an article in the guardian today following the end of Life on Mars saying all the things that they picked up that was wrong with it, its quite funny to see but i never noticed a thing when watching. I suppose all in a critics job.
The Mancunian Way - When sam wakes up in 1973 he wakes up on the mancunian way building site. This was in fact completed in 1967
The ford Cortina - The dashboard from Hunts iconic cortina is a mark 4, which only started production in 1976
CCTV Camera - At the end of episode 8 season 1 a CCTV Camera is clearly visable as the characters drive away.
The three degrees song - when they enter the casino the three degrees song year of decision plays, which in fact was not released till 1974
The WPC - Female police officers like Annie were not known as WPC until 1975, they were infact PW ( police woman )
The Watch - Sams clunky casino watch did not make an appearence till mid 80's
some people are really picky.
