The sooner they turn off Big Brother and cancel the show the better IMO. Why the British public are so obsessed with these ridiculous "Celebrity Reality" shows is beyond me - I want dramas back on my telly, not turning over to see wannabe celebs on yet another crap programme.

Supporters of Jade Goody are to meet up this Saturday 20th jan 2007 at 11am outside Bermondsey tube station where they will be voicing their support of Big Brother contestant Jade Goody. Effigy's of Shilpa Shetty will be burned, in a protest against allegations of racism, which the supporters of Jade Goody believe are totally unfounded.
Mark McGowan one of Saturdays event organisers said, 'everyone in south London is behind Jade. i think what they are doing is wrong Jade is a good person and is in no way racist, we support Jade 100%, Shilpa Shetty is manipulative and is tricking everyone, she is the cause of all this trouble. We are going to burn the effigy's in protest, Simon Ould another of our group is making them tonight. We want everyone from Bermondsey to turn out and show their support for Jade'

FFS, MANIPULATIVE, SHILPA I DONT THINK SO! JADE A GOOD PERSON OMG IM LAUGHING SO MUCH!

No crowds tonight according to the BBC. What a shame.

Karen Fenelon, 33, from London had a ticket and was planning to attend the broadcast.
"Tonight would have been the best one. You couldn't have got a better day than today, she said.
"I think they should have let her face the audience though. She was made on Big Brother."

sorry but that is the most ridiculus thing I have ever heard!! How did Shipla bring this on herself? How is burning effigy of Shipla going to calm the race issue? This has gone way to far and need to stopped now!!!

for those who think there are more important things I think you're underestimating just what racism does in this country and how it effects people. Yes they are just 3 thick cows but this goes on in real life too you know, it's just swept under the carpet because this country is so keen to keep up a facade and the rest happens in private. So what if it took a reality show to highlight just what goes on in places like my council estate, at least now people can't deny that there is racism in this country. Why do you think so many of us picked up on it...we can't be denied now, something has to be done to sort this out in society. You know I was at the bus stop and this old woman was being picked on for being a p***, how many people did something before I came along...NO ONE...why do you think that was?? They didn't care or want to get involved...it just doesn't matter to them, maybe they didn't think it was wrong, maybe they were spineless, who knows. At least with this something is being done...something MORE should be done to show people that this kind of behaviour CANNOT be swept under the carpet anymore and they cannot get away with it anymore.

That is just mad, Shipla has tried to be nice to everyone and fit in and everything a normal nice person done, the bullies excuse is that she is a control freak when really all they could of said to her politely is that they would like to take it in turns to cook! Simple.

    Jade and Shilpa Make Up

    Thursday 18 January
    Day 16, 19:58
A chat in Nowhere can get you everywhere...

Newsflash! Jade and Shilpa have made up!

The 25-year old instigated the peace talks, which took the form of an extended one-to-one in Nowhere. She started by acknowledging that Shilpa must have been affected by her outburst during Tuesday's great stock cube debate:

"I know that what has happened has not been nice for you... and a lot of stuff got said the other day from you and from myself," she began.

Referring to her use of the term 'Shilpa Poppadom', Jade took great lengths to explain that nothing malicious was behind it: "I didn't say it in a racial way... I do not judge people by the colour of their skin."

    "I know that," replied a calm Shilpa. "I don't think you're racist."

"I appreciate you saying that - it does mean a lot," said Jade.

But diplomacy is rarely easy - and as the pair sifted through their exact words during Tuesday's row, tempers momentarily threatened to ignite once more.

"If somebody is going to keep calling me fake, it's bound to hurt me," stressed the actress.

When Jade said the suggestion that she needed elocution lessons really wound her up, Shilpa had to correct her: "I didn't say elocution. I said etiquette."

"It's obvious we don't get on," said Jade, citing "different backgrounds".

"There is definitely a culture clash," agreed Shilpa, who then took the high ground saying: "You said more nasty things about me than what I said about you."

With inroads slowly being made, Jade pointed the finger at herself for letting events escalate on that night: "I was angry of the fact that I'd let you make me get so angry over a cube!"

After giggling over how trivial it all was, the pair agreed that it was sad the House had become divided. "I don't want the awkwardness anymore," remarked Jade.

Then, at precisely 7.50pm and 40 seconds, it happened. Jade uttered the immortal words "I'm sorry," and lunged in for a hug. Yes - A HUG!

Smiling, they joked that they are unlikely to be best friends, but were pleased to dispel any bad feelings.

"I really appreciate that you took the first step," smiled Shilpa. And with that, the pair walked into the House to report their armistice.

Dirk applauded, Ian launched into a rendition of 'Love Is In The Air', and all seemed well in Celebrity Big Brother House.

exactly, she hasnt really apologised, i dont think she has either. She knows shell be in big trouble.

Im with emz on this one though, i am fed up of reality tv, it was so nice to see the start of Waterloo Road last night as its a drama, not more reality to try and get more money or boost status. you know. I still tink we should stick them in the big brother house then not actually show it. Produce a documentary then see how they feel when people realise no one cares about them.
