    ok then. I think that sometimes postitive discrimination is a good thing. In sports men and women arnt the same and cant compete the same so its good. But then again other times its bad

    So if there is a swimming teacher vacancy for little kids where they have to be in the same chanmging room. if all the kids are female. surely it woul;d be better to give the job to a woman?

    good point, would hate the men to be in the same Changing room

    For some jobs postitve discrimination is good.

    yeah i agree for some jobs its good. We were talking about it in geography as my mate said you only got old people in B and Q and apparently the do positivly discriminate when giving jobs and give them to older people.

    but hows that positively discriminating? i thought that was against the law, turning people down because of their age? in business studies my teacher said an employer couldnt say they were looking for an older person/younger person, even though when i tried to get a job in a local shop the person behind the till looked at me and said they were looking for someone older, if everywheres looking for someone older, how the hell are we supposed to get part time jobs?
