EastEnders? Jasmine Fisher is arrested for murder next week, after Kat Moon betrays her by making an unholy alliance with dangerous Chrissie Watts. Will this be enough to secure Zoe Slater?s freedom after her weeks of misery behind bars?

Finally fed up with Jasmine?s games, Kat resorts to ruthless tactics by luring her deceitful granddaughter back to Walford under false pretences.

Jasmine reckons she?ll be safe as Kat has always looked out for her, but she gets more than she bargained for when the police swoop in to make her pay for killing Anthony?

"Jasmine?s arrest sends shockwaves around the Square," says our Walford insider. "It?s clear that everyone?s been looking in the wrong direction when searching for answers over Anthony?s brutal death.

"Poor Patrick doesn?t know what to think as the horrendous truth dawns on him, while Oscar?s also stunned to realise that he may have fallen for an unstable killer..."

The chaos unfolds on the day of Anthony?s funeral, as Kat tracks Jasmine down following a lead from her unlikely ally Chrissie, who?s back in Walford. Cunning Kat encourages Jasmine to come back and support Patrick as he faces this sad family occasion.

When Oscar heads upstairs at The Vic, he stumbles across what?s really going on ? Chrissie and Jake are waiting for Kat to bring Jasmine to them. Sure enough, Jasmine falls for Kat?s ruse and soon finds herself cornered by Chrissie?

"You?ll have to wait and see how that showdown turns out, but Jasmine soon reacts true to form by disappearing," explains our source.

"Kat fears that she?s done a runner yet again but is gobsmacked when Jasmine returns with the murder weapon. Jasmine suggests there?s one way out of this mess which could work out for all the Slaters ? framing Chrissie for her crime."

Sadly for Jasmine, her latest wild plan fails to come to fruition, as the police subsequently arrive to arrest her. Just before she?s hauled off to face questioning, Jasmine begs her baffled boyfriend Oscar to find some evidence to help her case.

The next day, protective mum Zoe is horrified when news of Jasmine?s arrest reaches her. Patrick also struggles to process the fact that Jasmine is now the prime suspect ? has she been playing him for a fool the whole time?

"Even after Jasmine?s arrest, there are plenty of unanswered questions," teases our insider. "Kat, Patrick and Oscar will all have to decide whether it?s time to cut ties with her after so many lies.

"And of course, the Slaters will be on tenterhooks to find out whether wrongly-accused Zoe can finally come home?"

EastEnders? Max Branning makes a huge romantic confession next week, as he reveals that he wants a serious relationship with Linda Carter. But does Linda feel the same about him - and could the pair really give things a go?

"Linda and Max?s romance began as a scandalous affair, but things have changed a lot since Max returned to Walford," says our EastEnders insider.

"Not only does Max now know that he is Annie?s dad, but he and Linda are both single. It seems that Max is ready to put his cards on the table?"

Max and Linda have grown closer in recent weeks and eventually gave in to passion - but Max was hiding a big secret from his love interest. He knew that it was his grandson Louie who was bullying Ollie at school, yet chose to keep this from Linda.

This playground drama may have scuppered things for Max, as this week, there is a rather frosty atmosphere in Peacock Palace. Having faced the wrath of Linda and Elaine, Max offers to make amends by promising to put a stop to Ian?s continued vendetta against the hotel.

Ian and Elaine?s escalating feud has become frustrating for both families, so Max would become quite the hero if he managed to convince the Walford rivals to sort things out for good.

But when Max seeks out Lauren to talk through the complicated situation with Louie and the bullying, it soon becomes clear that he has a very important reason for wanting to get back into Linda?s good books?

"Max has an honest chat with Lauren and decides to come clean, confessing that he has real feelings for Linda," explains our source. "It?s a huge shock for Lauren - her dad isn?t exactly known for his sincerity, but it?s obvious to her that he is being totally genuine here."

Desperate to heal the rift between the two families, Max brings Louie round to see Ollie, and Louie apologises for making his classmate?s life a misery recently.

Linda appreciates Max playing peacemaker and sorting things out for Ollie, and decides that it?s not worth staying angry at him any longer - so she makes the first move and invites him out for a drink...

"For the sake of Annie, Linda wants to get her co-parenting relationship with Max back on track," says our insider. "But we know that Max wants them to be much more than just mum and dad, as he?s madly in love with her!

"Linda rejected Max?s advances before Christmas, but now time has passed, have her feelings towards her former lover changed?"

At the end of last year, EastEnders skipped ahead 12 months to 2027. The special episode created speculation over who Max is marrying, who his pregnant bed buddy is, and who is holding his children Lauren and Oscar at gunpoint.

EastEnders has confirmed that Chrissie Watts will return to Walford this week when she is lured back to the Square by her former partner Jake Moon for a dramatic showdown with Kat over the deadly events of Christmas Day.

With Zoe currently in prison for the murder of Anthony Trueman, she and Kat are convinced that Chrissie framed her for the crime – but only the viewers know that it was actually Jasmine who was responsible.

Jake hasn’t heard from his partner Chrissie for months, as she cast him adrift to carry out her sinister revenge plan on Zoe at the end of last year. Therefore, this week, Jake visited Zoe in prison to get answers about what really happened to Anthony.

While Jake pledged to wash his hands of Chrissie for good and made plans to move to France for a new job, Kat was desperate for his help – so she and Vicki tracked him down on the canal boat he was staying on.

Jake was persuaded to return to Walford and reunite with his second cousin Alfie, who assumed he was dead. After some valuable advice from old ally Phil, Jake decided that he would help Kat and Alfie to find Chrissie.

In today’s episode, Jake sent a text to Chrissie begging her to give him another chance, in the hope that it will lure her back to the Square. The trap worked, as he soon got a response from Chrissie, agreeing to meet up.

Kat and Jake will team up and wait to see if Chrissie shows up as she promised – and new spoilers have confirmed that in Thursday’s episode, the villain will in fact return to Walford, having fallen for Jake’s trap.

With Tracy-Ann Oberman reprising her role again after her brief appearance at Christmas, Chrissie and Kat will come face-to-face for a tense showdown about Anthony’s demise.

Exactly what will unfold remains under wraps for now, but what we do know is that next week, Kat ends up working with Chrissie and Jake to bring missing Jasmine back home.

This explosive reunion will end with Jasmine getting arrested in connection with Anthony’s murder, as the teen is caught by the police while holding the crucial murder weapon.

EastEnders? Johnny Carter and Callum Highway are at odds next week, when Tim Walton asks an illegal favour in exchange for saving Johnny?s failing business. Things get even worse when Callum?s husband Ben Mitchell sends over some

documents from prison that signify the end of an era?

Last year, Johnny and Callum decided to start a relationship, and caused chaos when heartbroken Ben discovered that his husband was seeing someone else while on day release from jail.

Tim, an old associate of Johnny?s, then came into the picture and the pair decided to go into business together. Callum was wary about Tim?s true intentions, but Johnny moved forward with this new partnership.

What Tim is really up to hasn?t yet been revealed, but a scene late last year with Johnny suggested that Tim could be more interested in Callum for some reason?

Next week, Johnny reveals to Callum that Tim has requested a meeting with them, as Johnny is struggling to keep the business afloat and needs a larger investment. Reluctantly, Callum tags along to the meeting but is left shell-shocked when

Tim asks an illegal favour of the couple.

"Callum tried to tell Johnny that going into business with dodgy Tim was a mistake, but he didn?t listen," says our EastEnders insider. "Callum?s a man of the law, and doing anything suspect could get him in serious trouble at work. He point-

blank refuses to do Tim?s bidding and storms out of the meeting."

Later on, Johnny finds Callum looking at the divorce papers he?s been served by his husband Ben. This is a hard moment for Callum as this officially marks the end of his marriage, but Johnny isn?t happy and this leads to another explosive row

between the boyfriends.

After Callum coldly asks Johnny to leave, they still fail to agree on what to do about Tim?s shady request ? but when Callum offers to help find new investors, the ice between them melts.

Just as Callum and Johnny seem to be on the same page again, an old friend of Ben?s shows up with a very concerning request. Are Callum and Johnny in hot water, and what does imprisoned Ben want from them?
