If they did a toxicology test surely they must have found evidence of whatever was in his blood. If they did rule it a suicide, and Joe has the syringe, how would they explain that it was not found it beside the body. John committing suicide must work two ways, by taking away any power Joe has over Victoria. How can Joe go to the police now without opening himself up to charges of blackmail and perverting the course of justice.

I have never felt Robert to be a great fan of hard physical work so I find it hard to believe that he would want to be to the sole tenant of Butler's farm when Joe acquires it.

You would think Victoria would wait till she got the money first before going to Portugal.
Would you explain the significance of the cornerstone for the farm was for a newer viewer? Does that mean that the farm can't be sold afterall because it's proof that it's theirs and not leased? Or did his digging it up to post mean that they were going to find a different farm and transfer the stone there? I didn't understand.
