EastEnders has revealed Jake Moon?s dramatic return story, as he comes back to Walford next week for a very important reason. Actor Joel Beckett made a cameo appearance in September 2024, after his original exit back in 2006. Now, he is reprising his iconic role for a short and dramatic stint?

Jake headed into the sunset with former flame Chrissie Watts when she was released from prison. But at Christmas, it seemed that Chrissie was ignoring Jake?s texts as she pushed forward with her revenge plot against Zoe.

Next week, Jake requests a prison visit with Zoe, who has been charged with the murder of Anthony on Christmas Day - though viewers know that it is Zoe?s daughter Jasmine who was responsible for killing her dad.

The pair come face to face at the prison, where Jake has some big news about Zoe?s nemesis Chrissie?

"Jake reveals that he and Chrissie have split up because of her twisted revenge plot," says our EastEnders insider. "He has got in contact to find out once and for all what happened at Christmas - and he is left stunned by Zoe?s account of events."

He decides to walk away from Chrissie for good, but Zoe is desperate for his help to prove her innocence and get her out of prison. Jake firmly refuses and leaves, so Kat and Vicki join forces to track him down.

Desperate for answers, Kat and Vicki start rifling through Jake?s belongings, but he returns and catches them in the act! Jake is shocked, but Kat manages to convince him to come back to Walford with them and visit Alfie.

"Alfie thought that his cousin Jake was dead," recalls our source, "so he is blown away when Kat returns home with a surprise for him, and he reunites with his long-lost relative. With some emotional scenes ahead, Jake agrees to stay the night at the pub."

As Jake gets reacquainted with Albert Square, he comes face to face with Phil and attempts to finally lay the ghosts of his past to rest, including his late brother Danny.

Phil has some wise words for Jake and encourages him to do right by Kat and Alfie, so Jake eventually agrees to send Chrissie a message to lure her back to Walford. Jake and Kat wait together to see if Chrissie arrives - but will she turn up?

EastEnders? Linda Carter gives into temptation next week, as she leans in for a kiss with her ex-lover Max Branning. But with Max slyly keeping a secret over who is bullying Linda?s son Ollie at school, could this surprise reunion soon turn toxic?

As Linda frets over her boy?s ongoing ordeal, Max is shocked to discover that his grandson Louie is responsible for Ollie?s torment. The local lothario has plenty of chances to be upfront with Linda when she then turns to him for support, but he is determined to do things his own way?

"Max can?t believe his luck when Linda succumbs to his charms again," reveals our Walford spy. "She?s already rejected him once recently, but when Max becomes her rock throughout Ollie?s problems, Linda starts to see a different side to him.

"There?s no way Max is going to risk ruining it by exposing Louie as the source of all the trouble?"

The week begins as Max notices Linda?s turmoil over Ollie being bullied by a mystery lad. When he offers to help by looking after Ollie and Annie for a while, he soon realises that Louie is behind the schoolyard nastiness.

Max tries to deal with the problem himself by giving Louie a stern telling off, but subsequently decides that Linda doesn?t need to know.

Although Max believes he?s resolved everything, Linda receives a shocking call the next day to inform her that someone has hit Ollie at school. Once again, misguided Max tries to punish the culprit without telling Linda anything about it?

"Max goes to Lauren and Peter and warns that Louie is turning into a spiteful bully," says our source. "They refuse to believe it, but Max is soon proved right. Afterwards, Max focuses on damage control by urging Lauren not to tell Linda about their discovery. But the worst person possible is eavesdropping on the conversation ? Linda?s nemesis from school, Bea."

Back at the B&B, Linda continues to grow closer to Max as she leans on him for parenting guidance - and then throws caution to the wind by moving in for a kiss. Walford bosses are keeping quiet over how far things go, but giddy Max and Linda couldn?t look any happier together the next day.

As the chemistry sizzles, Bea plots her next move carefully by seeking out Linda's mum Elaine. She drops the bombshell that Louie is Ollie?s secret bully - and Max knows all about it!

Nugget zones out for a moment during his first driving lesson with Ravi. Shortly afterwards, Ravi meets a new contact as part of his police informant work and is shocked to discover that it's Mark, who unsettles him by asking questions.

Later, Nugget is in a stationary car with his parents when he suffers a seizure.

Meanwhile, Jake Moon visits Zoe in prison. He explains that he split from Chrissie due to her revenge plan, but wants to know what happened at Christmas. Zoe shares her version of events and asks Jake for his help to prove her innocence. Jake refuses, so Kat and Vicki team up and hope to find him.

Elsewhere, Callum worries that Phil is feeling the strain.

Also today, Suki fires Honey and Bea, while Linda fears that Ollie is being bullied again.

At the hospital, Nugget is told that he's had an epileptic seizure. Ravi is upset to realise that he may have caused his son to develop a life-long condition.

Later, Ravi drowns his sorrows at the club and ends up teaming up with Mark against a rowdy group of men, who've been hitting on Chelsea. Ravi impresses Mark by saving his skin in the argument, so Mark decides to confide in him over his efforts to find the secret informant.

Meanwhile, Max realises that Louie is the bully who's been hassling Ollie at school. He confronts Louie himself, but decides to conceal the truth from Linda. Later, Elaine spots the cosy mood between Max and Linda, so decides to warn Max off.

Elsewhere, Kat and Vicki convince Jake to visit Alfie, which leads to an emotional reunion.

Also today, Bea misleads Vinny with claims that he's facing a community backlash over his mistreatment of Honey.

Finally, Lexi is left upset by a big life change.

Linda leans on Max for support over Ollie's bullying ordeal, but he continues to keep quiet over Louie being the culprit. Max is alarmed when Ollie is hit at school, so he tips off Lauren and Peter over Louie's bad behaviour.

Bea overhears Max as he urges Lauren not to tell Linda about Louie's guilt. Later, oblivious Linda grows closer to Max and leans in for a kiss.

Meanwhile, Jake tries to get closure over the past as he comes face-to-face with Phil. Phil urges Jake to do the right thing for Kat and Alfie, so he sends Chrissie a message in the hope of luring her back to Walford.

Elsewhere, Priya opposes Ravi's decision to work for the police, but they get distracted by a call from the hospital.

Also today, Bea assumes that she's being kicked out of the B&B, but Honey offers her the chance to house-sit.
