I am already clinging to a lamp post waiting for my world to be "rocked".

I suspected Debbie was Carl's Mother but not seen anything confirming this. Have I missed this mind blowing surprise?

As far as I can see it wasn't investigated at all apart from a ridiculously superficial preemptive interview with Debbie.

I think the police are as confused as I (and possibly a lot of other viewers) after Corriedale as to what happened and how and why...

If lots of Crash, Bang, Wallop makes a good episode, the the Corriedale episode was a success, if you want an episode that was credible and believable then it was an absolute failure. As usual we had action and drama over substance. It is ridiculous than Debbie has been charged and appeared before a full investigation of the crash. Never have so many people been driving at speed through the night without looking at the road ahead. All of them kept turning away to talking (or shout) at their passengers. Even when they did look at the road ahead none of them noticed the stationary headlights of the first two cars to crash, but simply ploughed on into them. The police seem to have paid no attention to Kevin saying Carl was driving.

One other thing puzzled me, Aaron was forcing John to drive to Hotten Police, but I have always had the impression that Emmerdale was reasonably close to Hotton. The local bus takes people to school and the hospital, so it does not seem a long distance to me. But when John and Aaron left it was still daylight, then we saw them driving up a long incline, as the sun was setting, like they were crossing the moors, then driving on into the darkness of the night, as if it was a much longer journey.
