In this single strand episode, focusing on Todd and Theo's increasingly disturbing relationship, we see the police descend on the Street after a report of a domestic incident.

The entire episode will be shown through the point of view of cameras such as Todd's hidden camera, CCTV and police bodycams as a series of flashbacks show what happened inside the flat.

    Wednesday 17 December 2025 at 20:00 on ITV1

Todd sweeps up the breakages in the flat as he tries to piece together the events of last night. When Bernie reveals that she saw the state of the flat and there was definitely more to it than they're letting on, George is unnerved.

Todd and Theo paint on smiles and welcome George and Christina in for lunch. When George offers Todd his job back, will Todd accept?

As George quizzes them about their row and reveals that Bernie saw the state of the flat, will the truth come out?

Meanwhile, Will confides in Bernie that he hasn't got any mates in Weatherfield. Bernie feels for him and secretly calls Brody. As Megan promises Will a training session later, Daniel clocks the besotted smile on Will's face.

Brody calls in and explains that Bernie suggested they hang out together. When Brody invites himself along to his training session, Will despairs. Back on the street, Brody suggests he might ask Megan out. How will Will react?

Elsewhere, Dee-Dee breaks the news to Ed that she's got a new job. Ed's delighted and suggests they all meet at the Bistro to celebrate. But when Dee-Dee drops another bombshell, Ed, Michael and James reel in shock.

Also today, in the corner shop, Joanie and Shanice try to steal a bottle of prosecco but they're caught red handed.

Finally, when Tracy overhears Cassie slagging her off on the cab radio, she takes her revenge.

    Friday 19 December 2025 at 20:00 on ITV1

Ben and Eva wish Will a happy birthday, but make out they were too busy to organise anything special. Will puts on a brave face and heads out.

Megan wishes Will a happy birthday. Reminding her that he's now 16, he slips Megan a hotel key card.

As Ben, Eva and Ollie decorate the back room for Will's birthday, Maggie tries to contact Will. Ignoring Maggie's call, Will tells Megan he loves her. Promising that loves him too, Megan suggests they go to bed.

When Steve reveals to Ben that he saw Will heading into the Chariot Square, they're mystified.

Having slept together, Will and Megan are brought up short by someone hammering on the door. They're horrified to realise it's Ben.

Meanwhile, Sally and Tim spoil the girls with a Christmas themed breakfast. When Joanie reveals that a girl from the year above has invited her to a party, Sally bans her from going, deeming her an unsuitable friend and pointing out that Fiz and girls are coming round. Joanie's furious.

Fiz arrives with the girls in tow but to Sally's horror, Joanie throws a tantrum and, declaring that she'll never replace her mum, knocks over the Christmas tree.

Elsewhere, James reads the message he sent to Carl and kicks himself. He tells Carl to ignore the message as he was drunk and it was a mistake. When Carl reveals that he's lost his phone, James tells him he'd better hope that Abi doesn't see it. Carl finds his phone but before he can stop her, Abi looks over his shoulder. How will Carl get out of this one?

Also today, when James doesn't show up for Dee-Dee's family meal she's saddened.

Coronation Street fans should prepare for emotional scenes later this month, as Todd Grimshaw's physical abuse at the hands of Theo Silverton is depicted through the perspective of doorbell, CCTV and police body cam footage. Will Todd finally be freed from Theo's clutches?

After police rush to the Street following a report of a domestic incident, Todd's ordeal is brought to life by flashbacks that uncover the events that led to the cops being called: all of which has been recorded by Todd's own hidden camera, CCTV and police body cams?

The drama is initially set up at the end of next week (Friday 12 December), when Gary Windass warns George Shuttleworth and Christina Boyd that he's heard a mysterious crash coming from Todd and Theo's flat.

Afterwards, the next episode on Monday 15 December focuses solely on the couple ? as we see events unfold from the perspective of the various cameras.

"Todd's camera is to potentially protect him from what Theo might do, but he subconsciously wants to start keeping a record of how bad the abuse is becoming," explains Gareth Pierce, who plays Todd.

"It's not necessarily because he intends to show the footage to anybody at this stage, but it's for his own sanity and perspective."

"The episode has the style of 24 Hours in Police Custody," adds Gareth. "I anticipated it might feel like we were watching Corrie characters through a haze, but it has the opposite effect where it feels like it brings us closer - like we're eavesdropping on characters and seeing something we shouldn't."

With Theo's reign of terror at its peak, just how much trauma will be inflicted on Todd on the fateful night that the police arrive?

And with people starting to get suspicious, is there any route to safety in sight for him?

Coronation Street's producer Kate Brooks first announced this special episode at a press event for the ITV soap in October.

Speaking at the time, she told us: "I've just been in a viewing this morning for a really brilliant and powerful episode, focused primarily on [Todd and Theo's] relationship. It hasn't been done before - I don't think anyone's ever told a story in this format in this way.

"I've just watched it and have been quite stunned by it. I've got to go back and re-watch it again, just to digest what I've just watched on screen, because it really is powerful. It's really emotive."
