    Exclamation Corrie Spoilers 8th - 12th December 2025

    https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/cor...becky-trapped/

Coronation Street's Carla Connor finds herself in huge danger next month when she has a terrifying encounter with her nemesis Becky Swain. A crucial error from Kit Green leads Becky straight to the woman she wants to bring down, and a mysterious meeting unfolds.

But is Kit any closer to exposing Becky's dark side ? or is it too late for Carla?

"Things really aren't looking good for Carla," warns our Corrie source. "She's convinced that Becky's intentions are anything but innocent ? then she gets locked in a room with her.

"It feels as though Becky is capable of anything, so while she's successfully ended Carla and Lisa's relationship, that may not be enough. Who knows what else she might do to get rid of her love rival?"

With DI Costello still in hospital following his attack, Kit's investigation continues as he pays his corrupt boss a visit. He gains some valuable new intel, finding out from Costello's wife that he planned to retire to the Lakes back in September.

Kit finds this odd ? how could he have never mentioned this at work? He shares his suspicions with Lisa and Becky, and while Lisa is on the same page, Kit spots Becky squirming.

Reporting back to Carla, Kit proposes that Costello and Becky are in cahoots and have concocted a scheme together. But Carla feels totally defeated and, pointing out that there is no proof, she pours herself a drink in the factory?

"Kit is deeply concerned about Carla," explains our insider. "So he tells Becky that she's knocking back scotch in her workplace, urging her to get Lisa to check on her.

"Big mistake ? while Becky promises to pass on the message, we know she's never going to do that. Becky finds vulnerable Carla at the factory, enters her office, and closes the door behind her?"

Later in the week, Costello's wife visits the station to collect her hubby's personal effects. She shows Kit a snap of the lavish house they bought in Coniston called 'Ravensgill' ? and not missing a trick, Kit notes down the name.

He carries out some scrupulous research and discovers that the house was bought by a company that was set up just a week after Becky's fake death. This can't be a coincidence, so Kit leaves a message for Carla divulging these new findings.

But Carla's focus isn't on this complex case ? instead she is determined to save her relationship with Lisa, having previously called off the engagement. However, things don't go to plan?

"Carla heads to No.6 and opens her heart to Lisa," our spy shares. "She declares that she is home for good and shouldn't have left in the first place. In an emotional confession, Carla admits that she never stopped loving Lisa, but it sadly isn't enough.

"Lisa's had a change of heart herself, and says that while she still loves Carla, there's no way back for them."

Lisa breaks Carla's heart and makes it clear that their romance is over. Carla is completely devastated ? but with a dramatic Christmas approaching, could she soon have a much bigger problem on her hands?

These scenes air on Wednesday 10 December and Friday 12 December.

Coronation Street fans will be transported back in time next month, as Maggie Driscoll's past is brought to life. With details about days gone by revealed, should Eva Price tread carefully?

It all begins with Maggie gearing herself up to celebrate her 65th birthday. It's clearly a poignant occasion for the Driscoll matriarch, but tensions are through the roof at The Rovers?

"As it's a landmark birthday, it's inevitable that you would think about the past: what got you to where you are, and people that aren't around anymore,? muses Pauline McLynn, who plays Maggie.

"You see Maggie prepare for it. We've seen her put on a show on theme nights in the pub already, but you see her almost exhausted before the big 65th, just going, 'Right, it's showtime,' and she literally says it to herself, puts on the lipstick, and goes out there."

Soon, the birthday bash is in full swing, and Maggie is dressed to the nines in a smart, sparkly jacket. But unfortunately, Maggie feels more pensive than in the party spirit.

"As all the merriment is going on around her, she remembers when her sons were growing up," explains Pauline. "Maggie has two sons ? one lives in America. We finally find out a bit more about her husband. For me, it was just the most magical, strangest thing ever because you see through Maggie's eyes, and I got to meet the younger me."

During the flashback, Maggie, who is married at the time, experiences a stressful altercation while on a staircase.

"It's actually very moving when you see what happens in the flashback," Pauline shares. "It shows the difficulty of being a young mother. I won't say whether she was happy or unhappy in the marriage; you can decide for yourself, because it's just presented as what happened.

"It's intriguing, and it's one of those things that you know when you see it, that this will have repercussions somewhere, somehow. It could be way down the line. It could even be a question from Ben. It's obviously something they don't talk about."

In the present day, Maggie's feistiness is on full display when it comes to Eva. But as the feud ramps up, should Eva be genuinely worried about her mother-in-law's attitude towards her?

"Obviously, Maggie doesn't really approve of Eva," notes Pauline. "If Ben wasn't around, I'm sure they'd get on really well. But it's that thing of, you can approve of somebody until they're joining your family, then it's a whole other set of restrictions that need to be put in place.

"So far, there's been loggerheads going on there, and she's just so mean to Eva. It's really about to reach a crisis point, I believe. Maggie sees herself as the matriarch ? it's her way or the highway?"

As Maggie relives the past, is there more to her than meets the eye? And if so, should Eva watch her back?

These scenes air on Monday 8 December.
