Coronation Street's Becky Swain attempts to bump off Costello in hospital next week - just as Lisa decides to pay him a visit. After Lisa reveals that doctors plan to bring Costello out of his coma, Becky heads for Weatherfield General and ensures that she's alone with him - before grabbing a syringe that she hopes will kill Costello.

But before Becky can administer the lethal injection, Lisa turns up out of the blue. Is Lisa about to discover that Becky is a cold-blooded killer?

"Becky clearly has murder in mind," our Corrie spy warns. "She's intent on bumping off Costello to make her life easier - it makes you shudder about what other sick schemes she could conjure up if this plan fails. Let's just hope that Lisa catches her in the act."

The week kicks off with heartbroken Lisa doing her best to convince Carla Connor that she is the only woman for her. Can she convince her ex-fianc?e that she means every word?

Subsequently, Lisa informs Becky that her colleagues might have successfully tracked down the fella that targeted Costello. In fact, Lisa even has a name, revealing that the culprit is known as ?Soap'.

Playing dumb, Becky pretends that she's never heard of the guy - but then meets Soap to recover Costello's burner phone and personal mobile. However, as Soap and Becky seal the deal, they hear police sirens blaring nearby?

Next, Becky receives news from Lisa that Costello is due to be roused, so she visits the hospital and readies the syringe to silence him for good. However, Costello unexpectedly regains consciousness - then Lisa walks in.

Later in the week, Kit Green reveals to Carla that he's certain that Becky played a part in Costello's recent attack, but without his phone, it's going to be an uphill battle to prove it. Meanwhile, Becky hangs around Weatherfield General and chats with Costello's daughter, who reveals her birth date. And after Becky gains the girl's trust, she's soon looking through holiday pictures that his daughter merrily fires up on Costello's iPad.

"Becky's intelligence makes her so dangerous," our insider adds. "As the youngster opens her dad's device to show off her photos, Becky makes sure to catch a glimpse of the password. What will she do with the information?"

Elsewhere, Kit informs Lisa that the cops have finally located Costello's phone.

Will Kit's revelation expose Becky's darkest secrets? And if so, is time running out for Lisa's twisted ex?

Coronation Street's Debbie Webster takes to the stage for her important Women in Business event next week, but panics when her presentation fails because she can't access her notes. Foiled by a password she can't remember, Debbie decides to wing it and abandons her carefully prepared speech.

But how will the attendees feel when she's honest about her illness?

"Debbie's terrified that people will forget she's ambitious and successful," our Corrie source explains. "She doesn't want her dementia to be the only thing that people focus on.

"This event was supposed to be a big deal, but she doesn't want her illness to overshadow this special moment."

In the run-up to the event, Debbie rehearses her speech. However, she's thrown when she keeps losing her thread and stumbling over her words.

Continuing his plan to undermine her role in the business, Debbie's brother Carl assures her that it's fine to read from her notes. But is he trying to make her look unprofessional?

Right before the event begins, Carl asks Debbie for the login details so he can pay the staff, and she directs him to her notebook where all the details are written. Has she just given Carl a gold mine of information that he can use against her?

The Women in Business event begins and Debbie takes to the stage to introduce herself. However, when she tries to consult her notes on her tablet, she finds that the screen is locked ? and she can't remember the password.

"This is a huge crossroads for Debbie," explains our insider. "She's good at styling out her symptoms, especially if she doesn't want too many questions about her dementia. But this time she decides to take a brave step towards her inevitable future."

With the whole room watching, Debbie gives a raw and heartfelt speech about her dementia diagnosis. She's nervous in case word gets back to any of her rivals, but tells the women in attendance that she intends to fight it all the way and continue to be the glamorous and successful business woman she's always been.

How will the audience react to Debbie's startling honesty? Will the Women in Business guests react positively to her openness, or will her competitors and associates be wary of her dementia news and begin to use it against her?

Coronation Street's Dee-Dee Bailey has life-changing news to share with her friend Alya Nazir next week. Is this the moment that she announces plans to leave Weatherfield for good?

This announcement comes as Dee-Dee's family begin to notice some strange behaviour from the ambitious lawyer, then she goes a step further by dumping her new boyfriend Ollie Driscoll. What is Dee-Dee about to tell her loved ones?

"It's no secret that Dee-Dee is leaving the cobbles soon," points out our Corrie source.

"Could she have news of an amazing opportunity which takes her away from Weatherfield? How will Ollie and the Baileys feel about this?"

Loved-up Ollie was eager to introduce new girlfriend Dee-Dee to his larger-than-life family when they arrived to take over The Rovers. So when he suggests they spend Christmas Day together, he's a little confused when Dee-Dee refuses to commit to his plans.

Hurt by the fact she doesn't want to get serious, Ollie decides to do some digging?

After rejecting Ollie's romantic Christmas idea, Dee-Dee realises it's time to start being more honest about her plans for the future. She opens up to her friend and colleague Alya, admitting that she has some big news she wants to keep secret.

Meanwhile, Ollie confesses to his gran that Dee-Dee not only rejected his Christmas idea, but she dumped him too. So Maggie sets her sights on defending Ollie and gives Dee-Dee a talking to ? is this enough to change her mind?

Channique Sterling-Brown, who plays Dee-Dee, recently spoke to us about bowing out from the show ? shortly after she'd filmed her final scenes.

"I made the decision in spring - and it wasn't a rash choice," Channique told us. "I really took a couple of months from being offered my next year contract to actually even respond.

"I felt really torn, but I really just had the sense that it felt like the time. I've been so privileged and I've got to tell some great stories, so it's been wonderful. And obviously I'm very led by my faith as well.

"I just really took my time over it and prayed into it. I found a real sense that I had done what I'd come to do, if that makes sense. Not that I ever knew exactly what it was, but it just felt like I had achieved what I was sent here to do, so it was time to be brave."

She added: "I was nervous to tell the bosses, but they were super understanding and super supportive. [Producer] Kate Brooks did definitely ask me to go and have an extra sleep on it over the weekend, but my mind had already been made up. They've been really supportive, which is lovely."

    https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/cor...ed-theo-abuse/

Coronation Street's Todd Grimshaw will be left trapped in a difficult situation next week, after Theo Silverton's cruel abuse escalates into physical violence. As the scaffolder scrambles to hide Todd's injuries from their neighbours, will his actions finally be uncovered?

Yesterday's episode saw Theo punishing Todd with more gruelling marathon training, while not-so-subtly knocking his body-confidence with snide remarks. He claimed he was trying to keep Todd in good shape, as well as raise money for an MND charity in Paul Foreman's memory.

Later this week, Todd goes on another exhausting run in a bid to appease his manipulative partner. But when James Bailey throws a flirty compliment at the couple, Theo is left enraged.

Things go from bad to worse for Todd at home, as James unexpectedly turns up offering a fitness session. Though Theo controls his frustration in the presence of company, his temper later flares and he accuses Todd of fancying the PT, before violently lashing out at him.

Next week, Theo tries to cover up the results of his recent attack by suggesting Todd hides away in the flat for a few days while his injuries heal. He fears people will see the wounds and jump to the 'wrong' conclusion.

Devastated by the horrific turn of events, dejected Todd reluctantly agrees and cancels his plans with Summer. He tells her he's had to go to London, with Theo backing up the story.

However, the couple's plan falls apart when Summer notices someone peeking out of the flat window. Believing Todd is away, worried Summer rushes over to the pub, telling Theo his home is being burgled.

With all eyes on him, the sinister scaffolder is left in a dangerous situation, and is forced to check out the 'burglary'. But as Gary and landlord Ben insist on coming along as back up, could Theo's lies finally be exposed?

"It's a terrifying moment for Todd ? as his partner's behaviour has become so twisted, he's sure to get the blame if this poses any awkward questions for Theo," our Corrie source explains.

"Gary, Ben and Summer are all genuinely concerned over the possibility of a burglar ? but will they find out what's really going on behind closed doors?"
