Emmerdale's ruthless newcomer Kev Townsend is determined to keep Robert Sugden close by any means necessary next week ? as he whips out a secret gun. Will spiralling Kev suss out that his beloved hubby has rekindled things with Aaron Dingle and go for revenge?

Or is he planning something else sinister to get the man he wants?

"Kev's temper is explosive at the best of times, but now he's armed," our Emmerdale insider warns. "After Robert's prison revelations, Kev's been spiralling, getting drunk and causing a scene. But if he learnt Robron were back on, there'd be hell to pay."

Following Kev's recent breakdown, he's easily riled up by Mackenzie Boyd in the caf? over some spilled coffee. When his temper begins to explode, Robert drags him away and tries to calm him down. But Kev soon spots a way to manipulate Robert and keep him close?

"Viewers know Kev is faking his 'terminal condition' to keep Robert under the thumb," explains our source. "Robert feels totally guilt-ridden that he's abandoning Kev near the end, but he's clueless that his prison husband is telling a huge lie.

"Still, Kev gets Rob to promise he'll nurse him until his final breath."

Despite pressure from Kev, Robert is grateful to have Aaron's support. As the pair continue their secret rekindled love affair, Aaron persuades Robert to attend the housewarming party at Ross Barton's place.

Desperate to keep their relationship private and hidden from Kev, Aaron and Robert are mortified when he rocks up off his face and serenades his husband with drunken karaoke.

Feeling embarrassed that his performance didn't do the job of wooing Robert back into his arms, Kev slopes away. But his tragic act works a treat when Robert feels obliged to check on him and promises to be by his side when the end comes.

Kev is delighted, but things take a sinister turn when he's alone and pulls out a secret firearm.

"Kev is a very dangerous man with a history of armed robbery," our spy reminds us. "Nothing will stop him getting what he wants. Is he out for revenge on Aaron for stealing his man? Or might Kev have another plan to settle old scores?"

In a week which also sees Liam Cavanagh struggling with Kev's life-changing secret, will he be forced to keep the doctor quiet to stop him spilling the shocking revelation to fianc?e Chas? Or could Kev's whole masterplan be about to crumble?

Emmerdale's April Windsor fears for her life next week, when sinister Celia Daniels issues a terrifying death threat. The exploited teen has some explaining to do when she's arrested on suspicion of drug smuggling.

Concerned that her "employee" could bring down her secret criminal empire, Celia makes April all too aware that if she blabs to the cops, there will be serious consequences. Can April escape Celia's killer clutches?

The drama begins when April is picked up by the police on the streets of Newcastle. When they discover that she's hiding a stash of drugs on her, she's hauled down to the station for questioning.

Desperate April doesn't know who to turn to, but realises she needs help. Scared to drag her family into the murky mess she's trapped in, April reluctantly calls her granddad and summons him for assistance.

Flabbergasted Bob arrives at the station to be April's appropriate adult, greeted by his frightened granddaughter ? who insists the cops have made a mistake and it's all a terrible case of crossed wires.

As DS Clarke interrogates April over the drugs, she denies everything ? but it's clear she's being cagey. The copper asks April outright if she's being exploited ? and for a moment she's tempted to reveal all and bring this nightmare to an end. Bob is horrified to see the state of his grandchild ? is this the moment April betrays Celia?

Deciding the potential repercussions for her loved ones are too dangerous, April stays quiet and sticks to her story that the police have got it wrong.

Uncooperative April is eventually released, pending further enquiries, and pleads with Bob to keep this to himself and not mention anything to Marlon.

This goes against worried Bob's instincts, but when April says she'll never speak to him again if he tells her dad, he's left with no choice but to respect her wishes?

Returning to the village with Bob, April tries to put the incident behind her, but fuming Celia and Ray are waiting ? and they want answers immediately.

Apologetic April frantically explains what happened in the interrogation, and how she stuck to her story and insisted she knew nothing about the drugs.

Although April is full of remorse, it doesn't alter the fact she's drawn attention to Celia's nefarious network, which also includes keeping vulnerable people like Bear as slaves, and the police are now sniffing around. If their cover is blown, Celia tells Ray that April will be the one who pays the price ? with her life?

Despite embarrassed April's pleas, Bob remains uncomfortable about keeping her dad in the dark. Innocently confiding in Celia about his urge to come clean to Marlon about the arrest, Bob has no idea he's unwittingly made things worse.

Steely Celia plays mind games with gullible Bob, assuring him that April's arrest was just a blip and is unlikely to come to anything.

However, good guy Bob can't shake the sense it's his moral duty to fill Marlon in, and sets off to do just that.

When April later finds herself alone with seething Celia, her boss tells her she's used up her last chance ? is she about to bump off April? And will anyone come to April's rescue before Celia exacts her terrible punishment?

April calls Bob for help after getting into trouble with the law. At the police station, April is interviewed about drugs that have been found, but she stonewalls the officer's questions.

When DS Clarke asks if she's being exploited, April looks vulnerable as she contemplates confessing all. Bob is unsettled.

Meanwhile, Kammy plans a housewarming party with Vinny. Lewis, despite his anxiety, agrees to Kammy's party.

Elsewhere, Robert finds Kev in the caf?, preparing to fight Mack over some spilled coffee. He manages to steer a struggling Kev out of the door before the situation explodes.

Bob tells April that he feels it's his duty to come clean to Marlon. Celia steps in and assures him that April's arrest is minor, but covers her frustration when Bob's determined to tell Marlon.

When alone with Celia, April's shaken when she warns her that she's used up her last chance.

Meanwhile, Lewis tries to keep calm.

Elsewhere, as the party gets going, Robert and Aaron are stunned when Kev walks up and decides to do drunken karaoke. After embarrassing himself, Kev feels rejected and leaves.
