EastEnders? Lauren Beale falls victim to a cruel con next week, when fraudsters promise to deliver a treatment plan for vulnerable baby Jimmy. When Lauren and Peter are bombarded by information about new treatments for children with vision impairment, Lauren is understandably eager to hear more.

The doting mum contacts the so-called doctor, who requests ?3,000 as an initial payment. But Lauren later discovers that it was all a sick ruse ? how will she cope with the devastating truth?

"You can only imagine the panic that Lauren is feeling inside," reveals our Walford insider. "Her whole world crumbles as she tries to process how this could be happening to her.

"It goes without saying that it?s evil to scam anyone, but to exploit a young mum over her baby?s health is beyond the pale. Lauren fully believes that the treatment on offer could help Jimmy, then she?s left totally beside herself."

Before Lauren?s heartbreaking revelation, Ian insists that the material she and Peter are being sent about potential treatments is not to be taken seriously. Desperate to help Jimmy in any way possible, Lauren ignores his warning and investigates the promising claims.

"Lauren would move mountains for her kids," declares our sneak. "Even the slightest chance that she could give Jimmy a better shot at life is enough to convince her to act.

"After reaching out, Lauren not only learns that she will need to pay ?3,000, but she is also provided with ?results? from previous patients. It?s no wonder that she falls for the vile scheme."

Oblivious to the fact that she?s been given non-existent case studies, Lauren confides in Cindy that she?s concerned about where she?ll find the cash for the doctor.

Afterwards, Lauren goes along to a fundraising quiz at the Vic, but an incident involving Jimmy derails her evening and makes her even more anxious to give him all the help that he needs. Will Lauren source the full amount that the scammers are after?

"The situation at the pub heightens Lauren?s desperation to help Jimmy," explains our snoop. "If you thought she was fixated on helping her son before, then this takes it to a new level.

"EastEnders bosses are keeping tight lipped about what exactly goes down, but it?s a big deal for Lauren."

The next day, Lauren checks her laptop to discover that the ?doctor? never existed in the first place ? and that she?s fallen for a savage scam. Having unknowingly placed her faith in criminals, will Lauren come clean about her ordeal? Or will she try to deal with her distressing situation all by herself?

EastEnders? Cindy Beale?s life is on the line next week after she gets on the wrong side of newcomer Jasmine Fisher ? and is pushed down the stairs in a brutal attack!

Her attempts to play detective and uncover the truth about her mysterious new houseguest have devastating consequences. Will Cindy survive her injuries ? and just what is Jasmine trying to conceal?

When Jasmine leaves her phone unattended, Cindy and Lauren seize the opportunity to get valuable intel and grab the device for their investigation. The unlikely duo sneakily contact Jasmine?s mum, Anita, and arrange a meeting ? and what they discover leaves them shaken?

"It?s a massive shock to see Jasmine?s mum in Albert Square, as Oscar was told that she?s a very busy woman who lives abroad," says our source. "Cindy and Lauren?s clandestine meet-up is eye-opening to say the least, as Anita warns them that Jasmine has a dark side?"

Cindy wastes no time in heading back to The Albert to confront Jasmine about her worrying findings. But she may come to regret this, as when she reveals that she has spoken to her mum, Jasmine suddenly flies off the handle ? and shoves Cindy down the stairs.

Horrified Oscar discovers Cindy's lifeless body and quickly takes action, raising the alarm with the Beales, who rush to the scene to save her. Meanwhile, he has some big questions for his girlfriend?

"When Oscar quizzes her about what happened, Jasmine is defensive and completely denies pushing Cindy," our insider explains. "However, as she is probed further, she is forced to change her story, and makes up a lie about what happened in The Albert."

Cindy?s fate remains up in the air as she is left in a serious condition. But has Jasmine done enough to convince Oscar that she isn?t responsible for her violent assault? And why is she so determined for her past to stay buried?

EastEnders has confirmed a romantic exit story for Anna Knight and Freddie Slater next week, as the pair finally head off into the sunset together. But it seems their departure won't be smooth-sailing if Anna's sister Gina has anything to do with it.

Over the past year, viewers have been watching Anna and Freddie navigate various obstacles amid their frustrating will-they-won't-they relationship. The pair had to put their mutual attraction aside as Anna dated Freddie's best friend Bobby Beale.

Things didn't become any easier when Bobby was finally out of the picture, as Freddie had a one-night stand with Gina last Christmas ? leaving Anna devastated. Though the pair managed to repair their friendship, they reverted back to hiding their true feelings for each other.

Last night's (17 November) episode saw Freddie's cousin Zoe playing matchmaker after she noticed a spark between the youngsters. At the pub quiz, she sent over some drinks for a delighted Anna, saying they were from Freddie.

With the ice broken, Anna admitted how much she appreciated the kind gesture and the pair shared a touching moment. Zoe's meddling appears to have done the trick, as next week will see a big development for Freddie and Anna's relationship.

In upcoming episodes, Anna reveals her travel plans to Freddie, telling him she's going on an exciting holiday to Australia.

Fueled by their reignited feelings, Freddie offers to accompany her on the trip ? which Anna happily agrees to.

However, their joy isn't shared by Gina, who makes her thoughts abundantly clear. She tells them that taking a trip together isn't a good idea, especially when they're traveling to the other side of the world.

Will Anna listen to her big sister's qualms, or could this be the happily ever after she's been desperate for?

Cindy and Lauren are suspicious over Jasmine, so when she leaves her phone unattended, they use it to contact her mother Anita and meet up with her.

Anita warns Cindy and Lauren that Jasmine has a sinister side. When Cindy then tells Jasmine that she's spoken to her mother, Jasmine flies into a rage and pushes her down the stairs.

Meanwhile, Vicki gets angry over the behaviour of a male punter at the club. Chelsea is unimpressed and warns her not to let Joel's actions affect the way she views all men. Later, Ross tries to join Vicki on the dancefloor as it's their anniversary, but she's annoyed by his presumptuous behaviour.

Elsewhere, Lauren is intrigued by the idea of experimental new treatments for Jimmy.

Elsewhere, Ross and Vicki agree that they'll take things slowly.

Also today, Gina opposes Anna's plans to go travelling with Freddie, and the feud between Ian and Elaine develops further during the quiz night.
