Coronation Street fans see Theo Silverton's control over Todd Grimshaw take an even darker turn this week. The show's latest villain puts on a smile in public, then rages at his boyfriend behind closed doors.
With Todd doing his very best to appease Theo, the vulnerable fella is terrified when he damages his boyfriend's car ? and dreads his next mood?
"Theo has a surge of fury directed at Todd," explains Gareth Pierce, who plays the tortured soul. "There's a moment where Todd thinks that maybe he's sorted everything and repaired the car, and that it'll be smooth sailing ? but what happens next is shocking."
Theo's escalating rage begins at the builder's yard and another encounter with Pete, his one-night stand. When Pete flirts and hints they should hook up again, Theo snubs his attention. Pete reacts by calling him a drama queen, causing Theo to fly into an uncontrollable fury that has big consequences?
After the blow-up with Pete, Gary sacks Theo from the builder's yard, putting the scaffolder in an even worse mood. Then, to make matters worse, Sarah Barlow's son Harry spills a milkshake in Theo's car.
"When Harry spills the milkshake, Todd's worried about Theo's reaction," reveals the actor. "He's in that tense, people-pleasing anticipatory headspace."
Although Theo's reaction is easy-going in front of Sarah and Harry, his true colours emerge when alone, and Todd fears for his safety.
"Todd is given false hope when Theo is more affable than expected," shares Gareth. "Then he gets home and realises as the door closes, the mood shifts.
"Theo's a more physically imposing character. Todd's scared of him, but he feels like he can anticipate or fix Theo."
When Todd accidentally scrapes the car after all the effort of getting it cleaned, he's sick with dread. But will Theo manipulate Todd into believing everything is his fault again?
"Todd wants to seem like he's the reasonable one," Gareth reminds us. "He's been the victim of some expert gaslighting, while exercising his own anger and frustration is now not an option for Todd. His new home is such a tense space?"
Corrie bosses have confirmed that Theo's abusive behaviour will worsen in the coming weeks, culminating in a special episode airing in the run-up to Christmas.

Coronation Street's Lisa and Becky Swain share an intimate moment at No.6 next week, before Roy Cropper rocks up out of the blue. Will Roy tell Carla about her fianc?e's closeness to Becky?
After Lisa and Becky settle down for food and wine on the sofa, the ex-couple find themselves locked in a warm exchange as Lisa holds Becky's hand in hers ? until Roy makes his way through the door.
"Roy has a special loyalty to Carla," our Corrie source points out. "It's hard to believe that he wouldn't tell her whatever he's seen, unless Lisa has a valid explanation for her cosy evening.
"Nobody could argue with Lisa and Becky wanting to spend some time with each other, but surely Carla would take issue with them being as close.
"Knowing Lisa, there's surely no way that she'd be unfaithful to Carla, but maybe she has crossed a line here. Though, whether or not that gets back to Carla is in Roy's hands now."
The week kicks off with Becky revealing to Lisa that she has a flash drive that will save their daughter Betsy from ending up in any more trouble with DI Costello.
Fired up, Lisa then turns up at Weatherfield Police station claiming that she has CCTV to prove that Betsy wasn't responsible for damaging a police car, as Costello made out.
In front of her boss, Lisa voices her anger over Betsy's wrongful arrest, which leads Costello to reveal that Becky wanted to reach out to her on multiple occasions, but it was always too risky. Could this be the reason that Lisa thaws towards her ex?
After Betsy is released from custody, Becky answers a call from Costello. During the conversations, Costello explains that now he's led Lisa to believe she kept her distance because of him, it's time for Becky to stick to the plan and leave Weatherfield within a month.
Later in the week, Becky puts an exit plan into motion as Betsy persuades her mum to go shopping in preparation for moving to Spain. Once the mother and daughter return from their trip, Lisa is baffled to find them both surrounded by shopping bags. Will Becky and Betsy admit that they're planning to move abroad?
"Lisa demands answers," our insider adds. "Betsy is supposed to be at work, but instead she's chatting in the kitchen after a shopping spree! That alone is enough to irritate Lisa, so just imagine if she knew that her little girl was planning to move all the way to Spain.
"It's yet to be seen whether Lisa will find out, but surely the secret will have to come out eventually?"
For however long Becky sticks around, will Lisa find herself growing closer to her ex-wife? And if so, are Swarla headed for their biggest challenge yet?

Costello admits Becky wanted to contact Lisa many times but it was too risky. With Betsy released, Becky takes a call from Costello who confirms that he's done his bit by letting Lisa think it's his fault she stayed away and now it's up to her to keep her side of the bargain and he wants her gone within a month.
Roy arrives at the flat to find Lisa and Becky snuggled up on the sofa. How much has he seen?
Meanwhile, when Kit lets slip that he's read Naomi's file and she's got a history of aggressive behaviour, Bernie and Gemma agree that she needs to be taught a lesson.
As Dev fusses over Asha, she tells him to leave her alone. In the pub, Dev breaks down as he admits to Glenda that much as he wants to help Asha, he feels out of his depth.
Elsewhere, Theo arrives at the yard for the meeting with Pete. Pete flirts with Theo and suggests they should hook up again, but Theo makes it clear he's not interested. When Pete calls him a drama queen, Theo flies into a rage.

At the kebab shop, Abi is asking Dev for some shifts when he takes a call from Toyah informing him of Bernie's hair brained scheme. Thrusting his apron at Abi, he hurries out.
As Gemma hurls insults at Naomi, Naomi loses her rag. Has their plan worked?
Bernie films before Dev and Kit arrive. Nina shows Asha the online video. Asha's mortified as Dev blames Naomi for the fact his daughter tried to take her own life.
Meanwhile, Theo worries as he reads an email from Danielle's solicitor detailing her maintenance demands, especially after losing Pete's contract. When Maria reveals how Theo lost his temper with Pete, threatened him and now the business is hanging in the balance, Todd's shocked.
As Gary does his best to placate Pete in the hope he'll change his mind, Todd approaches and is horrified to recognise Pete as the man in his flat.

Also today, Abi and Carl discuss their financial straits, both in need of a job. Kevin opens a letter and is incensed to see that Abi's started divorce proceedings.
Finally, when Christina hears she's being evicted, George tells her she's welcome to move into Todd's old room. Christina's delighted whilst Glenda's furious, pointing out that she might be out on her ear when the new pub owners arrive.

At the yard, Gary spells out to Theo that his one night stand has damaged the business and it's best they go their separate ways. Theo's fuming.
Todd gives Sarah and Harry a lift, but when Harry spills his milkshake on the back seat of the car, Todd's horrified. Sarah apologises profusely for the mess, but to Todd's surprise, Theo takes it in his stride.
However, once inside, Theo rails at Todd for his total disrespect for his new car. Todd's apologetic and promises to have it professionally cleaned.
With all traces of milkshake removed, Todd's relieved, but as he reverses he scrapes the car. Todd climbs out and looks at the scratch in horror, dreading Theo's reaction.
Meanwhile, a flustered Debbie makes mistakes at the hotel, but Carl comes to her rescue. Carl summons Dylan and shows him the details of a car he'd like him to steal. Dylan refuses and hurries out, while Abi makes a note of the car.
As Abi heads out, a suspicious Debbie follows her. Abi finds the car in Freshco car park but as she dithers, clearly having second thoughts, Debbie arrives.
Elsewhere, in a bid to build bridges, Fiz and Tyrone agree to lunch with Cassie. As Nick steers his wheelchair through the Bistro, Tyrone's embarrassed. As he struggles to cut his food, Tyrone loses his temper and sends his plate crashing to the ground. They go to leave but Fiz spots her bag missing and a man making for the door. She cries out and Ollie quickly gives chase.
Also today, Dev tells Bernie that Aadi saw the video and he's deeply upset that they failed to tell him about Asha's suicide attempt. Bernie feels terrible.
Finally, Hope's amused when Jake makes a joke about Sam. Jake saunters off, clearly smitten with Hope.
