The Platts are rocked by news of a surprise pregnancy on Coronation Street next week ? but which family member is unexpectedly expecting?
David is stunned to find a pregnancy test in the bin ? and even more taken aback when he realises it might belong to his 12-year-old daughter, Lily.
"We've seen loads of 'who's the daddy?' storylines in soaps, now get ready for a 'who's the mummy?' mystery," our Corrie insider says.
"When David finds the test, his mind goes into overdrive. As news spreads, it becomes a big guessing game as to who could have a bun in the oven. When will the mystery be solved?"
The drama begins when David clashes with Lily after she claims she is suffering from a stomach ache and doesn't want to go to school.
Suspicious that she's faking it, as he probably did when he was her age, unsympathetic David sends his annoyed offspring to class.
Later, David vents to Sarah about Lily's 'illness' and insists she's trying to pull a fast one so she can skive. He also reveals to his big sister that Lily has been having a hard time at school lately, and has been fighting with a friend over a lad.
As they chat, it's obvious Sarah doesn't think Lily's situation is as clear-cut as David does, and is worried something else might be going on with her troubled niece?
David is then distracted when he realises Carla has been chucking her rubbish in his bin again. Narked at his neighbours' cheek, David starts rifling through the wheely bin ? and makes a shock discovery?
"David wanted proof his neighbours were using his bin, but a pregnancy testing kit is the last thing he expected to find," our source continues.
"He immediately assumes Betsy must be keeping the mother of all secrets from Lisa, and doesn't want to dump the evidence in her own backyard. But could the test actually belong to someone else?"
That's the big question, and a potential answer throws David into total meltdown. When he shares his discovery with Sarah, she admits she thinks it could be Lily's ? it would explain her recent tummy pains and reluctance to go to school. Not only that, but the fact that there's a boy on the scene makes it even more plausible.
David is horrified at his sibling's suggestion. Burying his head in the sand at the possibility his little girl might be having a little one of her own, David refuses to believe it. However, he can't ignore this forever, and after some detective work chez Platt, the truth is finally exposed.
"The owner of the pregnancy test eventually comes forward and admits everything," our spy confirms. "So is it Lily? Or Betsy? Or is someone else on the Street in the family way?"
As their identity is confirmed, what will the reaction be to the potential mum-to-be's baby bombshell?

Coronation Street airs a horror twist on Betsy Swain's 18th birthday next week, as she finds herself at the scene of a dramatic car crash.
Lisa's teenage daughter is preparing to celebrate on a night out with her friends when she's suddenly distracted by chaos at the Weatherfield Precinct.
Betsy's birthday starts off well enough, as she returns home to celebrate with her loved ones after being out all night.
When Lisa questions what Betsy has been up to, the birthday girl reveals that she spent the night with Dylan Wilson. Betsy points out that it's time for Lisa to start treating her like an adult.
Later, after some drinks with her family, Betsy announces that she's off into town with her mates to continue the celebrations ? still determined to assert her independence.
She leaves a voice message as she walks through the Precinct, but all of a sudden there's a loud crash as a stolen car hits something. Betsy lets out a scream amid the terrifying moment?
"On the morning of her 18th we see this nice family dynamic. Then, as the day goes on, we see this very teenage side," explains Sydney Martin, who plays Betsy.
"She goes out, she's had a bit of a mard, she's got herself a bit drunk, she's just upset. Then all of a sudden, in the same place that she lost Mason, there's a car hurtling towards her.
"I think it's the wake-up call that she needs her mum, she needs Carla, she needs Ryan, and she needs this family unit. Although grief is such a horrible emotion, you can rely on the people around you, it doesn't make you weak, it doesn't make you a child.
"She needs to see they're not trying to treat her like a child, they're just trying to understand her. Just before the crash it was her mum that she was reaching for, it was her mum that she was leaving a voicemail for.
"She is grateful to her mum, and for Carla for stepping into this motherly role now. This is a wake up call that life can be taken away in a split second."
The car incident comes as Dylan and Brody Michaelis continue to do Carl Webster's dirty work by stealing vehicles around the area.
George Shuttleworth spots the stolen car speeding off and is shocked to realise that Dylan is the driver.
Later in the week, with one resident seriously injured in hospital after the crash incident, George warns Dylan that he saw him driving the car.
Dylan tells George that he must be mistaken, but will the undertaker accept this? And was Dylan responsible for the crash?
