    Exclamation Corrie Spoilers 25th - 29th August 2025

    https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/cor...-asha-episode/

Coronation Street has confirmed details and released a short teaser trailer for a special episode featuring Asha Alahan.

Set to air on Monday 25 August, the hour-long episode will be dedicated to the character, as she reaches breaking point in her career as a paramedic.

The second half of the episode will be told entirely from her point of view, as she witnesses a series of events that eat away at her, despite her calm exterior.

In one shift alone, we'll see her witness a heartbreaking racist attack, deal with an injured elderly resident, and be forced to watch a tragic death.

It will all culminate in Asha having a panic attack, and struggling to breathe in the Rovers' backyard.

The episode ties in with Aadi's departure, as she realises that she won't be able to rely on her twin for support in the same away again.

"I feel honoured to be trusted with a storyline of this scale and significance," Asha actor Tanisha Gorey. "Stepping into the shoes of a trainee paramedic and exploring the highs, lows, and emotional challenges of their work has been both moving and eye-opening.

"It's a role that carries a huge responsibility, and I hope we've done justice to the reality so many face. If this story reaches even one person, sparks a conversation, or offers a moment of understanding, then it's served its purpose."

The soap has collaborated with The Ambulance Staff Charity (TASC) on the storyline in order to portray it sensitively.

TASC's Wellbeing Support Team Manager Angie Crashley stated: "At TASC, we were pleased to support the Coronation Street team in developing Asha's storyline, helping to ensure that it reflects the real-life experiences and challenges faced by student paramedics.

"Storylines like this play a vital role in raising awareness and breaking down stigma around the pressures ambulance staff can face ? especially those who are just starting their careers. We're proud to have contributed to a storyline that highlights both the importance of support and the strength of those working on the frontline.

"Our charity supports the mental, physical, and emotional wellbeing of the UK's ambulance community, and it was important to us that this story was portrayed with sensitivity and accuracy. Since the launch of the Ambulance Staff Crisis phoneline we have supported 1068 people in crisis or at risk of taking their own life, of those 15 were student paramedics.

"No matter what role you have in the ambulance community, TASC is here for you ? because those who care for others deserve care too."

Dev hugs him emotionally and Asha Alahan hurries out in tears. In the Rovers’ backyard, Asha struggles to breathe and is overwhelmed by a panic attack.
Asha remains in the throes of a panic attack and relives all the stress and horror of her last ambulance shift. In a flashback, we see the full horror of the day Asha has had, which has led up to the panic attack; a death, an injured old lady and finally a racist attack on her.

When Dev catches Brody and Dylan stealing people’s drinks, he throws them out of the pub. As the pair scarper, Tim wonders what’s going on. Dev explains how Brody ruined Aadi’s house party by turning up with drugs and now he’s tried to ruin Aadi’s leaving party.

Christina reveals that Dom has died and her meeting with George is purely of a professional nature, but Jenny moans to Glenda and Brian, convinced that Christina has set her sights on George and is up to no good.
A downbeat Asha struggles with her day, knowing her brother is about to leave for a new life thousands of miles away. Having said her goodbyes, she heads out on her shift with Sienna but things take a sinister turn when she is called to a car accident. When she arrives, she recognises the car as Aadi’s! What has happened?
In the bistro, Asha loses her temper and screams at Brody for arguing with another customer. Sienna does her best to calm her down but tells her that her behaviour is unacceptable and that if she does it again she will have to report her.
Having tried but failed to open up to Dev about how she is feeling, a drunken Asha is eventually rescued by a sympathetic Lisa in The Rovers. She finally unburdens herself and tells Lisa about the woman she tried to help who verbally abused her and then assaulted her. Lisa urges her to report the incident to her manager.
Theo is shocked to bump into Noah on the street sporting a black eye. Later, he thanks Gary, Maria and Billy for their support but insists that there’s nothing that can be done about Noah as he doesn’t want to scupper his access to his kids.
Todd and Billy are appalled to see Noah and Miles handing out leaflets on the street. Billy tries to reason with Miles but can he get through him?

After chatting to Steve, Jenny is certain that Christina is catfishing George and is lying about Dom’s death.

She marches into the undertakers and tells George that Christina is only after his money and Dom isn’t dead at all. To Christina’s horror, Jenny rips the lid off Dom’s coffin. What will she find?
Billy approaches Miles and warns him that he’s being brainwashed by some bad people and he needs to stop lashing out those who genuinely care about him.
Later, he is shocked when Miles turns up at Summer’s party with Todd and Theo.
At home, Todd reels when Theo asserts that he doesn’t want him seeing Billy anymore and he has to choose between them.
At No.7, a hungover Asha tells Dev she’s called in sick as she’s got a headache. When Dev suggests she’s faking it, Asha snaps at him. She then struggles to appear enthusiastic about Summer’s birthday plans. Later, Sienna finds Asha in the Rovers and quizzes her about the fact she called in sick.
